In short: Great race
In full: One of my local races so I'm biased and it always helps if the sun shines!
Bag drop worked really well this year, great tea and cakes.
Agree with another review about runners dropping gel sachets, I was behind a chap who just threw his into the bushes, why not carry it a bit further to drink station?

In short: Great organisation
In full: Well done to all the organisers, the only thing that could be improved would be to make a few more toilets available at the start, the queue was very long. The route is very scenic and the long sleeve technical top is worth every painful mile. It wasn't my best marathon time but would I do it again......yes (especially if the weather could be guaranteed to be sunny again).

In short: Great organisation if very cold!
In full: Well done to all the organisers, the race went like clockwork. The second lap of 10m seemed a lot colder than the first (the hills also seemed steeper). The marshalls were great, very cheery even though they must have been frozen.

In short: Great organisation
In full: Route was well marshalled and well supported most of the route. Hills were certainly testing, would agree with other review and say overall I feel the New Forest 10m has a more scenic (and flatter!)course.

In short: Well done to the organisers, great run
In full: For the first time this race went like clockwork, parking worked well, no problems with toilets, started at the back of the field so didn't hear anything announced at the start until the gun went off but a nice course. Lots of support at the finish with water and free tea, goody bag and medal, great value. Only suggestion would be don't let the numbers increase by too much next year, this is a nice small local race that shouldn't be spoilt by becoming too big!

In short: Well done to all involved!
In full: I was also on the bus that broke down at the first hill, but managed to get hold of family members to give us and others a lift to the start (after walking 1 1/2 miles)we were worrying that the start would happen without us!
Once started the race was glorious, weather was fantastic for running, pipers at the start added to the fantastic views.
Mainly downhill (with a few brutal inclines) for the first half of the race and found the hill at 19 a bit of a killer (now know to do more hill training if I'm doing this one again) but still managed a PB (just) which I was amazed by as the training had not all gone to plan.
Organisation was great, marshalls very friendly and helpful, supporters along the route very welcome, showers at the finish were lovely, basically can't fault this race and if it was your first then yes you have been spoilt they're not all this good!

In short: A great race well done to the organisers!
In full: Well done to all concerned, the race was hard (I'm not a lover of hills!)but scenery was lovely and organisation very smooth (the weather helps too!). The finish was great and it looked like the whole village had turned out to support the runners home, also good to get medal, mars, energy drink, water and free cups of tea, will definitely be back next year.

In short: Good organisation, enjoyable course.
In full: Did a PB so loved the course! Organisation went well, if you didn't leave everything to the last minute.
At one point the queue for the ladies was smaller then the mens (although I've not been to a race yet where there have been enough loos for there not to be a queue)! Bags dropped off with plenty of time and had no problems. Marshalls great and cheery.

In short: Will I be back????? The jury is still out
In full: I have never been so cold and wet, at least at that other marathon in the mountains they had their weatherproof gear on! The last three miles I could have cried I was so tired and cold but I got to the finish somehow, did this race in 2007 and loved it, this year I finished 1 minute slower. That hill at 21 miles really is a killer, I feel I might have to keep trying until I can run all the way to the top!!!(or not!)

In short: Great race, brilliant organisation
In full: Well done to Datchet Dashers, the race was well organised from car parking, start, marshalling, toilets to finish and escape from the car park. Especially the great goody bag (I think the best yet!) which included a powerade and sweeties. Only downside is course is a little boring but did a PB so very happy, will be back.
