In short: Tough extreme cross country race with lots of water
In full: Plenty of hills, plenty of mud, gallons of water. Great atmosphere and a challenging cross country run. One to do again and again... but only if you are slightly mad!!!

In short: Muddy muddy trail race
In full: Glorious sunshine, wonderful countryside to run through but boy was it muddy underfoot. Lovely atmosphere and a race to add to your diary. Will do again.

In short: Brutal, challenging,tough race!
In full: This is not for the faint hearted. What a tough race, up, up and up and even coming down we had to go up at times. Lovely friendly atmosphere but definitely not a walk in the park. Really nice t-shirt and medal.

In short: TOUGH!
In full: Tough but if an old girl like me can do it you can too! Very hard cross country course not a trail run. With the wet weather, the course was treacherous; last year was easy in comparison. (but last year I said it was the hardest thing I had ever done!). Thank you to the lady marshall at mile 8/9 (?) who was very encouraging to everyone - just what you need. I will be back..... I think....!

In short: Hellishly hot hard race
In full: I knew it would be tough when lining up with the other 200 odd runners with the sun beating down on our necks at 10 am that we would be in for a blistering run. WE WERE!! Those hills, the oh so long tracks but then the coolness of the wood but not for long, out we came into the blistering heat of the Downs and more hills and that last hill which just went on for ever! I think at that point I was hallucinating... could I see pools of water.... no. Brilliant race though thanks to the organisers, the marshalls; especialLy the chap at mile 6 who made me laugh and for putting out an extra two water stations because of the heat. It was needed. Lovely touch having a BBQ instead of sticky cakes but guys you need a vegetarian option!! Will I do it again.... oh yes, yes, YES!

In short: Wonderful race - weather, scenery and runners
In full: Fantastic setting in wonderful Dorset countryside. Sneaky hills sorted out the men from the boys, very warm in the sunshine. Not enough mud this time but will be back again.

In short: Hills, heat, humidity - it had it all!
In full: I expected a tough trail race and I certainly got it with this race. Never seemed to get into my stride - where were the flat bits!! Very well organised - the best race so far on this front. The humidity and the heat cost me my time but I'll hopefully beat the 2hrs+ next year.
