In short: Excellent race, fair route, beautiful scenery, fantastic finish
In full: With the start being so far from the finish, the organisers have done a great job to get all the runners there. The buses did not leave on time and so the start had to be delayed. This is the only detraction from a fabulous race. Well organised, very friendly marshalls and helpers, lots of people on the course cheering, a fantastic finish in Inverness, nice medal and running shirt, cup of soup afterwards! I set a PB, so although the course is undulating (with one long hill at around 18 miles) it is a very fair course and has PB potential! I definitely recommend this marathon to anyone (even beginners!)

In short: Challenging half but well worth doing
In full: Well organised with friendly marshalls. The course has two major uphills and two major downhills (the two miles out of Great Barrington were tough!). The long sleeved sweathsirt momento was an excellent touch! At mile 8 I was thinking "never again" but I actually set a fastest time for the year, so I'll be back!

In short: Slick organisation and a tough but fair course
In full: I really enjoyed this race, I wouldn't usually undertake an event with Tough in the name, but thought I'd give it a go. It was hilly but enough downs to recover on. I had a short walk on Shenley Hill. Marsahlls were brilliant - very supportive and the two road crossings were maginificantly handled. Both water stations well manned by yound people who shouted encouragement. Well done LBAC!

In short: Well organised challenging run through beautiful countryside
In full: I really enjoyed this race. Good organisation, started on time, friendly marshalls, beautiful countryside - tough hills at mile 4 and 10 but otherwise a fast course

In short: Superb event, great scenery and support
In full: I really enjoyed this half marathon, wonderful atmosphere - well done to the organisers! A challenging (but not too taxing) multi-terrain route through gates (causing a small delay early on), over bridges and on various surfaces - a real treat with the friendly marshalls and the drummers made my day!

In short: As promised a flat course (2 laps) around a run down airfiled/dragstrip
In full: Enjoyable for the flat course but lapped courses are usually a bit uninspiring. Nice medal and very good organisation

In short: Very well organised challenging course
In full: Great start to the 2010 races. Very well organised and excellent communication in the lead up to the race. Annoying to delay the start by 5 minutes because people can't pull their finger out and get to the start on time. Good challenging course

In short: Excellent organisation with friendly marshalls, good fast course
In full: Excellent race, well organised, marshalls handled the cars and runners with good grace. Nice T-shirt. Signage from the village lacking (although I know where it is for next year!)

In short: Excellent organisation, very good route (although dull in a few places)
In full: My first marathon after many years and I was please with the level of organisation, very good route (although I hate loops and there were dull bits), water statiosn were well planned, marshalls were excellent and plenty of them, good support from locals and especially the Fetch table. Well done!

In short: Tough 12 miler that starts at 2pm
In full: Why start at 2pm? Very hot this year and a tough hilly course. Ran out of water at the final table on the 3rd lap. The most annoying aspect of this race is competing for road space with non-runners including the stupid little dog (on a lead) that ran in front of me - as well as buses, cars, wheelchairs, buggies, and walkers. I'd still do it again though if I want a tough race in beautiful surroundings
