In short: A brilliant race- much enjoyed! In full: A drizzly cold day, so many thanks to all the marshalls, standing out in it, and remaining cheery, a great atmosphere, and very friendly. Loved the course route, recommend doing this one. Excellant organisation, everything well thought out, and ran smoothly. Even toilet paper was being replaced in the porta loo's before it ran out. Very rare at run events, to think of small details. Nice medal momento, and huge supply of cakes to re- fuel on at the end. Thank you organisers.
In short: These guy's know how to organise a great race In full: Organisation, top marks. A very wet and cold morning for the run. Marshals and organisers kept a brilliant atmosphere, and made it a great event. A varied, interesting route, all off road. Very welcoming tea and cakes at the end, thanks to the ladies who provided them for a small fee. Run very reasonable price, and a lovely slate coaster momento at the end, was a nice touch. Definately recommend, and will be at the next one. Thank you Drovers!
In short: A run you wouldn't forget in a while.......... In full: Well I 'll start on a good note, the venue was lovely. But unfortunately organisation was terrible. The race started 50 mins late. Then we ran for about 2 miles, all the first 30 runners had turned back, on the course, because there was no marshal, or no sign to point us in the right direction, and we had come to a T- junction. No one knew where to go. Managed to back track, and find the correct turn. This happened again towards the end of the course. I came out and ended up in the carpark, and had to walk round the fencing, and cut through it, to get to the finish line, while other runners came from a different direction. Again poor marshalling, and no distance markers. I was told by a couple other runners, that the same had happened to them. Goody bag, as promised at the end..... but a banana, a bottle of water, and a couple of advertising leaflets, it consisted of. Not very exciting.... :-( T- shirt that it said you get, never existed. Woah and all that cost me £29!! Was pretty disappointed, as website looked amazing. I feel abit ripped off.
