In short: My first marathon, finished it ..... YIPEEEEE!!! Dreadful time, but who gives a monkeys I've done a marathon!! I rule all !!!
In full: Very hot day, it would have been nice to have had an earlier start so you can spend the rest of the day enjoying Stratford. A big thanks to all of those people who were still cheering us stragglers on, I owe you all for helping me finish my first marathon. Thanks a million !

In short: Once out of Oldham Town centre the run is really enjoyable. The hills are not that bad either, just long. For all the up hill there is just as much going down. I did find some road very dangerous where there wasn't any police or marshalls.
In full: Note to the Mayor: Seriously it was pretty scary in parts on the junctions of the main roads. I was just missed by a van towards the end where the track goes through the park and across two roads, there was only a marshall at one of the crossings.
