In short: great we race
In full: i would say this was more like a trail race than a road race but all the better for it. it was good to run for a change without the howling wind in your face but saying that the route was sheltered anyway. bottle of water, banana, mars bar, cap, mug, and a few other bits and bobs all for £6 what more could you ask for. 2008 race not 2007

In short: hills
In full: the first 5k is fairly straight forward then you hit the first of a few hills the first being queens drive seem to go on forever but with support from a few from the running club giving encouragement that was a great boost and at least the weather was pleasant this year

In short: good one
In full: this was my first lochaber marathon but not the last. just before the start the sun came out and thought this is going to be another edinburgh 2006(i dropped out) but with plenty of drinks on the route ther was no chance of that.great weather maybe not for the runners but good for the spectators and for everyone else involved a big well done

In short: great to have the wind the second half
In full: this is my favourite half marathon for a number of reasons. since 1992 i have missed only a couple of them.for me it is a good way to finish the year alright it is undulating and the second half can be tough if the wind is against you(the wind was at your back this time a rarity) but it is a half well worth doing

In full: i only decided to do this after the disappointing run i had at jedburgh. it has been a few years since i took part in this and forgot about the other hill at 4 miles. it was a perfect day for running heres hoping we get the same conditions for clova but i doubt it and well done everyone at dundee road runners for a well organised race

In short: better than london?
In full: this was my first loch ness marathon an it certainly wont be the last. what a great idea it was to have a marathon in one of the most scenic parts of scotland. i done the edinburgh marathon earlier in the year but loch ness has to be the better of the two.from the enthusiasm of the support along the route, the organization, goody bag(edinburgh take note) and the scenery it made it an enjoyable day
