In short: Tough but well organised In full: I had my reservations about this race as it was only the second running and it only had 28 runners last year, there were main roads and Tram lines to be crossed and these Guy's were very new to all this. All I can say is that these Guy's are well organised everything went smoothly everyone new their role all the crossings were well manned there were mile markers and arrows all round the course and I have to say that it was as good as any I have run (And I have run over 200 races)the course was tough and had been well thought through. I will be back next year as this is such a great race.
In short: I have run a better races and I have ones a whole lot worse. In full: I had not heard much in the way of complements about this race before I ran it, but I thought why not give it ago and see what it's like.
It could do with a few more toilets, but then again so could every race I have every run. If you want a PB this is the course for you. Its not the most scenic but if your after that PB who cares. You had a slight delayed start due to the kids race but thats not the end of the world.
Overall I think they have done a fairly decent job.
In short: Better than I remembered In full: A good well organised race, the mile markers were a bit out but if that's all you can fault them on then as far as I am concerned they have done well. Date of review: January 23, 2011
In short: Could do so much better In full: Distance too short Medal and T-shirt were ok if you got one No water for the back markers Could have been so much better, but I think they were caught out by the numbers that turned up, if they learn by their mistakes it could be a good value for money race. In short: Great Fun In full: Really good fun the only let down for me was the kids race advertised a medal for the finishers, we travelled down from London and my daughter and niece were devastated when there wasn't one. That aside it was great. Date of review: April 27, 2008
