In short: A quick, flat dash around traffic free areas of Portsmouth
In full: A great underated race that should attract far more runners. Shame that the overall distance was a bit more than 10k!

In short: The first of a very quick series of three 5k races.
In full: This is a great race. Really fast dash round the footpath/cyclepath at Hilsea (Portsmouth) and the lido and back to finish in Mountbatten Centre. Well organised, incredibly accurate km markers (I used GPS and read 5 km exactly at the finish). Although mostly club runners I went with 2 friends who have never raced before and they were most welcome. I loved it!

In short: Flat & Friendly
In full: A well supported 10k, great for fun runners. Would help if start wasn't quite so congested and slower runners didn't move to the front at the start! Definate PB potential if you can get away and wind is in your favour. Very well marshalled.

In short: Scenic, some steep hills, friendly, well marshalled.
In full: A very pretty area, spoilt by some tough hills! Good facilities at the start/finish (baggage storage, toilets, drinks etc) and plenty of parking. A quiet area means little traffic.

In short: A great race, well marshalled, quick, and a T-Shirt!
In full: A quick dash through Eastleigh. Scenery is far from special but great organisation and strong police presence ensure roads are practically traffic free (much to the odd driver's disgust!). Plenty of car parking spaces and well signposted. All in all - Excellent.

In short: Very cold, crowded, lots of traffic to dodge, no flat bits (either going uphill or downhill all the time), little atmosphere. Other than that it was fine!

In short: A quick dash round tow paths, footpaths and cycleways. No traffic, completely flat and very well organised.
In full: 3 mile marker was out by a fair bit I reckon! The start can be a struggle as the entire field is filtered through 2 lanes of a track!

In short: Very Pretty run through the New Forest on tarmac, trails and grass. Lots to do for children whilst the race is on and a "commerative horse brass" to the winner! Top Draw!!
