In short: Well organised, easy to follow course
In full: A really enjoyable weekend. 4 checkpoints with food and drink, friendly marshalls, easy to follow route (I didnt need to get the map out). I was near the back so a lot of the time I couldnt see the person infront or behind but that was not a problem. The only thing I didnt like were the geese which scared me!!

In short: The hardest 10k I've done
In full: Very hilly, well organised with 2 water stations and a few people dotted around handing out extra water! Last year I swore I wouldnt do it again but I came back! It is better second time when you know what to expect so dont go off too hard!

In short: Brilliant organisation
In full: Excellent value for money, T shirt, medal, goody bag, chip timing, buffet and massage, what more could you want from a marathon? Although there were only 130 running the marathon I never felt lonely as I could always see the person infront of me. You could have your own drinks put out at the stations which was good as they only provided water in cups. There were jaffa cakes at one station but that was it.

The course was hillier than expected so not a PB course unless your PB is soft. The marshalls were all friendly and encouraging.

My only complaint, which is very minor is that the T shirt said half marathon and marathon on it! If I have run a marathon I like it to just say marathon!!!

In short: Flat and fast
In full: A big field but not too crowded to run at your own pace. A few gently inclines but nothing much, PB potential if the weather does not bother you! Someone complained about no sports drink, I would never expect sports drink on a 10km and if 1 water station is not enough then carry your own like I do!

In full: A nice flat fast course, well marshalled, good T shirt and nice spot prize. Too hot for my liking but still did a 50s PB!!

In short: Brilliantly organised
In full: Not an easy course especially with the wind, 2 laps was not a problem though. Lots of water stations with bottles, a few stations had gels, chocolate and jelly babies as well. Good hoody which makes a change from a cheap TS! Goody bag with lots of food in it. Massage at end but the Q was too long so didnt bother.

In short: Quite flat and good PB potential
In full: The race was well organised apart from the finish area which looked a shambles shortly after I finished. The paths were quite narrow and a lot of people started too far forward and too fast so weaving in and out for the first lap was fustrating. The wind was hard going but I did enjoy the race I would probably do it again but this time not start so near the back!

In short: Well organised, fab day out
In full: A nice flat run along the canal, some people went wrong at the start because they didnt listen to the instructions other than that you really cant get lost! 4 checkpoints along the way with water and sweets, something a bit more substantial like cereal bars or bananas would have been nice but this was a training run for many doing MdS so they have to get used to carrying all their kit. Was worried about being at the back but came about 2/3 down the field in 5.43 (my marathon time is 4.11), so its ok to do this if you are slow! Will definatly be back next year, maybe do both days!

In short: A good fast course
In full: Not the most interesting of routes but I tend not to be bothered about scenery. Well organised and marshalled, flat with PB potential.

In short: Loved it!!
In full: Really well organised, nice and flat (just a few little inclines), lots of water stations (unfortunatly plastic cups though). A large enough number of runners that you were never on your own but not too many to slow you down. Lots of marshalls who were very encouraging. Wasnt keen on the lap of the track at the end as I got overtaken by 5 people so got some stick about that from hubby!!
