In short: Rural, flat, fast and well-organised
In full: Very enjoyable race.
Organisation was really excellent, with easy parking, good marshalling and some nice touches like a well-designed award mug, a cake sale, plenty of changing and toilet facilities and even instant memento photographs. The only glitch was the clock at the end wasn't working, I think because the starter was a bit too keen to get us away. Official race times in the results were spot on though.
Course was largely flat but not quite car-free, so occasionally have to run on the cambered side of the road - no real problem. Nice rural scenery.

In short: That's it - the last one. Left me with 2 PBs and some boring mugs
In full: This was the last running, so not sure whether a review is really worthwhile.
I like the Kingston races including the breakfast run as well as this, mainly because they're just so fast, convenient and well-organised. The collection of samey mugs (which are the same as those given to 8-milers) aren't exactly the highlight of my medal shelf, but my previous marathon PB is.

In short: A tough race, but without being daftly so, and a wonderful challenge.
In full: It winds through a forest up and down Holmbury Hill through some wonderful scenery, notably the viewpoint at the summit at about 10 miles, with a field of about 200 runners of all abilities.
As an indicator of difficulty, I got within 8 minutes of my half marathon PB.
This year's race had the added fun of a missing direction marker at a key turning, which lost me a few precious places, but other than that a brilliant day out and one I would move holidays not to miss.
