In short: Flat, fast and friendly In full: Very well-organised race with lots of friendly marshals. Course is definitely pb-friendly, flat along the seafront for a couple of loops. Cloud and light rain spoilt the seaside views but kept us all cool. back next year, Thank you.
In short: Good early-season run In full: This is one way to find out whether your legs have survived the winter in good shape. The course is four rather twisty laps of the park, the organisation is a bit minimal, but it was a pleasant sunny day with a good atmosphere. Date of review: February 12, 2011
In short: Good race, perfect day for a run In full: Nice, low-key race in Vicky Park. Well organised and uncrowded as ever. Chips this year which is new and welcome. See you next year. Date of review: June 13, 2010
In short: Good course - great organisation In full: very good final race of the season. A nice undulating course that isn't nearly as frightening as it looks in the race profile. Great organisation despite this year's killer roadworks. Well organised and well marshalled. definitely coming back. Date of review: December 14, 2009
In short: Very good and friendly marshalls In full: Yes it was raining, but then it does in November. The organisation was a great improvement on last year although it would have been easier to post chips and numbers surely. Despite the slightly drab urban setting i quite like the course - no major issue but would have been good to do the longer loop first time round. Thanks very much to everyone who turned up in the pouring rain to make the event work so well Date of review: November 3, 2009
In short: Friendly race and well organised onece it had started In full: Good course and very well marshalled. Good and friendly crowds and a good-sized field. The organisers were overcome by the numbers at the start though. 15 minute delay and really long queues for the bag drop. Date of review: March 15, 2008
In short: Nice and flat and improved on last year In full: Lovely morning and a good flat course. Has improved since last year, two laps rather than three and on wide tracks at the start rather than skinny paths.
I thought there were enough marshalls and although there was only one water station it's only a 10K! Not having km markers was a problem though - and is my GPS up the spout or was that 200m over 10K? Date of review: September 16, 2007
In short: Isn't it dull when everything goes like clockwork In full: The pre-race organisation was a shambles (hopeless website, champion chips not arriving, race numbers changing at the last minute) but on the day the organisation was so bad as to be funny - for me anyway. I had my GPS on and so ran 10k in a pretty fast time - it's a good fast course.
But for those who relied on the organisers to be able to manage the basics of marking out 10k and keeping people on the course it was a disaster. So bad that some people even found the chaos amusing.
Will I be back next year? Possibly they were a nice bunch and things can only go up from here. Date of review: March 26, 2007
