In short: Glorious scenery, good mix of surfaces and nicely marshalled.
In full: A nicely understated race, run along very quiet country roads with marshals at all the important bits (other than, if I was being picky, one small gate late on just after a downhill where it would have been nice to have someone there to keep it open for runners, but all part of the fun). The atmosphere is lovely, and that despite me having a lonely run from 7 miles onwards. Organisation great, and it's challenging - no huge hills, but undulating enough to give you pause. My garmin can throw a wobbly but today agreed with every mile marker, and they just 'felt' right, more importantly, which is a nice touch in a race that attracted fewer than 200 runners. I hope there'll be many more next year - you're missing out if you can get to this and haven't been yet!

In short: Good friendly race, and great atmosphere
In full: I hope this grows and grows into a regular fixture and a widely attended one. Very nice event, and a great PA who deserves a wider audience. To my mind, the course had a few too many sharp turns to be really quick, but the whole thing was at my old school so was a run down memory lane and extra good for that reason alone. The atmosphere and great welcome from those involved with the charity were an excellent icing on the cake.

In short: Tough as! At least this month's version ends downhill, making a good end to a tough series.
In full: As you set off on these races you're often flying down a hill, only to be hit by the thought "every down has an up". And boy, are there some ups! A real test of whether you can get legs moving again once they're full of lactic acid from plodding/walking up a hill, great atmosphere and a really good atmosphere - possibly the fact that the field seems to be full of triathletes and first timers makes for a difference from most road race/club cross countries, and I'm enjoying the difference.

In short: Great marshals, good course and friendly fellow runners!
In full: My second time here, and pleasingly slightly quicker than last year. Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially as I was recovering from Christmas lurgy. Thought the marshals were excellent, and the race director deserves great credit. I'd echo the comments of others about the start and the memento!

In short: Great organisation, consistently friendly marshals no matter what job they were doing made for a great event
In full: Loved the race, weather was terrible as many people have already said but it's a lovely scenic course with the added nice touch that you get to run through a school to which the hoi polloi are not normally invited - loved running through the arch there! I even picked up a pb, but on a flatter course with (please) a little less wind that may mean there's more to come. Thanks to all involved with the organisation - the fabulous spirit I felt throughout the day is to the great credit of you all.
