In short: Scenery not exciting, but atmosphere and fairly flat course make up for it
In full: First time at this for me. Thought it was all very well organised and everybody seemed really friendly. Course was pretty flat - a couple of gentle climbs (one on each lap), but definite promise for a PB (if only I'd trained harder!). Scenery nothing to write home about, but definitely worth turning out for.

In short: Very well organised, boring scenery, potentially fast course
In full: I arrived early, so missed the traffic problems that delayed some people arriving later. Good decision (from that perspective) by the organisers to go on time, despite some people not being ready - it was too cold to keep thousands of people standing around on the start line. If you were stuck in traffic, you might not agree with that. Very smooth organisation - parking easy once in, hand over baggage, stand on start line, run, get chip taken off, collect goody bag (not very exciting, but ok), collect baggage and leave. Easy. Well marshalled and loads of toilets all over the place!

Very windy today, but I imagine it could be a really fast course in the right weather. Even in the cold, strongish wind today, I managed a PB!! Yippee!!

Well done and thank you to all who put this race on. Great preparation for London in a few weeks.

In short: Those hills took me by surprise
In full: I live in a hilly part of Wiltshire, so I thought I'd be ok, but there are some killers in here! But the final km down the drive to the house is wonderful - even after a disasterous 9km, I think I ran a 1km PB down there! Nice goody bag (i.e. one with some useful things in, unlike some others), but a bit of a struggle to get out of the car park afterwards. So some great things and some niggles - I think they all balance out in the end to make it a good race.

In short: Slick organisation, flat course, friendly marshalls - what more could you want?
In full: This was my second time at Eynsham - both times the organisation has been really smooth and the marshalling very friendly and supportive. The course is flat and has good PB potential. It's a great Sunday morning out.

In short: Well organised and the hills not as bad as I thought they might be - excellent event
In full: Yes, it was rather crowded at the start/finish, but the rest was well organised and having bottles of water instead of cups was great. The horse was a surprising bit of light entertainment! More marshalls along the main roads might have helped, as I literally ran into a car that insisted on pulling out of a petrol station right among the runners. The hills aren't bad and you get some fantastic views from the top. Not sure it's a PB ocurse, but it is a great morning out.

In short: Too hot this year, but still well organised - PB potential on a cooler day
In full: I really suffered in the heat this year - last year I posted what was PB then, but I was slower this year and 5 minutes off my current PB. But, the event is very well organised with briefings, 5 drinks stations (that don't seem to run out of water) and huge amounts of parking. And the organisers are very friendly. If only it hadn't been so hot last weekend...

In short: Hearing of problems up at the front, but I got a PB
In full: Apparently, there were problems with the lead car this year, so some runners went the wrong way. Back in the middle of the field, we didn't see all that, of course. So, for me, it all went very smoothly from easy parking to chip timing to getting a PB. Mixture of countryside scenery and indistrial estate, so not the prettiest, but parts are lovely. Pretty flat and definitely a PB potential - I got a PB last year and another this year.

In short: My local. Four miles down and one steep one back up which gets you every year.
In full: Think the organisation is pretty good here, although I live only half a mile from the start, so tend to just turn up, warm up, run and go home. Friendly bunch that run it and a good atmosphere. Course is ok apart from the hill at the end. I run this loop a lot, but normally the other way round as I prefer a long steady climb to the hellish steep one that starts the fifth mile in this race.

In short: Well organised - (good cakes) - flat and scenic - PB written all over it
In full: Everything seemed to work like clockwork. We were away just about exactly on time and it was well marshalled by friendly people. Spectators along the course were very supportive, too. Finish organisation seemed to work well. Excellent job done by all concerned.

Course is great, as it is almost completely flat. Pretty run through good countryside and lovely villages. Loved the day. And got a PB - first time below 1:45.

In short: So fast I got a PB and took some convincing the course wasn't short
In full: Probably the flatest race I've taken part in - perfect for a PB attempt. Well marshalled by friendly people with a good crowd to support at the start and finish (same place, so they didn't move!). Mighty cold at the start, but they didn't keep us hanging around for long. Loved it, basically, and can't wait for next year.
