In short: Very enjoyable day out, great scenery, organisation, value for money. Not a fast one though .
In full: Overall very enjoyable (I did the marathon).

Best bits - the yew tree forest with the blue string, going through Clarendon estate, Longford Castle, the Cathedral at the end, great organisation for an event like this - with all the different distances on offer, low-key start and finish, friendly checkpoints with jelly babies.

Bits that could be improved - a few mile markers would be nice - or indicate the checkpoints, with their distances on the map, a bit less road.

I found the route very well marked and didn't need the map or instructions at all. The last bit from Wilton to the Cathedral seemed to go on forever on the road and passed the houses - a mile marker round there would've been nice.
Not an easy one, but very enjoyable.

In short: The toughest, but probably most enjoyable marathon so far
In full: Very tough, but very enjoyable race.

If I had to find fault I suppose it would be having to stand around at the start for 1 1/2 hours with nowhere to sit, but the rest of the event more than made up for that. Great scenery, organisation, nice t-shirt (even had the right size), plenty of water/energy drink.

In short: Can't fault it in any way
In full: The second time I've done this race and it won't be the last. As before the organisation was brilliant, marshalls friendly and supportive, ok local crowd support was a bit thin but that didn't make much difference to me. The stadium start and finish is great too.

I'm not one for huge crowd events and this is perfect - not too crowded and not too small that you're on your own at times. Selling t-shirts - great idea too. And I really like the names on the back, nice touch. I have so many old race t-shirts I've never worn, much better to choose to buy one if you want to - and keep costs down. Oh yes - no problems with parking either.

Abingdon really ticks all the boxes.

In short: The perfect half-marathon - not crowded, flat, scenic, excellent organisation
In full: Pity about the wind, but then it affected everyone and no-one can do anything about it.
I still managed a PB by 3 minutes though so I was really pleased with that. A great race and I'll definitely do it again, regardless of weather. I think the marshalls had a worse time in the wind and rain than the runners !

In short: Excellent event - scenic, well organised, sweets at the checkpoints!
In full: I did the 20 - my first off-road race and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great scenery, well organised. I live in the area and do lots of running on the roads around Compton so it was nice to see the area from an off-road point of view.

In short: I expected a 3 lap route to be a lot worse - at least you know what to expect in the last lap
