In short: Ow!
In full: Great organisation - lots of marshalls, 2 water stations, a rope to help with the river crossing (yes, you read that right). And if "hills are our friends", an extremely sociable course.

In short: Good job it was a nice day
In full: I can imagine it would be a mud fest in poorer weather, especially up the hill in the woods, but in glorious sunshine, it was almost enjoyable, even that sneaky hill at the end. No chance of a PB with the bottlenecks, so leave your watch at home and enjoy the views.

In short: Nicely distracting terrain
In full: My minor gripe would be the 20+ minute queue for the three toilets - maybe we got there at the wrong time! Otherwise very well organised and a most enjoyable trip out

In short: A race deserving of more entrants
In full: Superb organisation, from car park signs way out to marshalls wherever needed. Nicely undulating course, nothing too steep or uphill for too long, and a lengthy downhill stretch approaching three miles was almost a pleasure. Terrific memento (two runners in a glass block), but I only found out after I'd handed my money over, the butterfly buns had been made by someone else, she of the legendary ones was on holiday. They were still good though!

In short: My better half got a PB, I got soaked
In full: Well marshalled, pity they couldn't stop the ignoramus in a red van who drove in the middle of a group, holding us up! Good support considering the rain. I wouldn't mind a clearer indication of the start line for those of us at the back, so I can set my watch off.
