In short: Good fun
In full: Not a race to take too seriously, even if most of the entrants are club runners. 10.66k of hills, mud and some tricky single track - Great!Very friendly marshalls

In short: Has anyone mentioned the mud?
In full: My 4th time and enjoyed it just as much as ever despite being very unfit at present and recording my slowest time yet. Once again the marshals were brilliant, how do they stay so cheerful in that cold wind? Much tougher than the Turbo X and so much better value.

In short: A good chance to work off the seasonal excesses
In full: I do this event every year and I think the organisation is slowly improving. I would reiterate the comments about the finish being congested, it can't take that long to write down numbers! The marshals did their job whilst being generally uninterested. Something I have noticed before with Rotarians - come on SMILE folks! I have only ever been to one event where the loos were adequate, it's no good complaining, it is totally un viable to provide enough for about 10 minutes use! That's why I take my own porta potti - invaluable!

In short: Forget the run, just look at the scenery
In full: The hills don't get any easier, but could actually see the views this year. Will be back

In short: Where was the mud!
In full: Thanks Paul for another great event. My first time doing the half (relay previously) its great running through the crowds at the relay change over point. I really would have liked some mud though! Just need to return again as I know I can do a better time.

In short: Tough
In full: A really good workout in my slowest time for a 10k for years, but notice that the winning time is also a lot worse than last year. Apart from the heat, the course had been lengthened to 10.25k and the heat a undulations made it hard work!

In short: Pleasant course, lovely weather
In full: Not keen on the long straights, but the scenery takes your mind off that! Well outside my pb, not sure if that was the course or I just had an off day. I can't believe that the dog leg round the tree near the finish really made any difference and it certainly made it more interesting for the spectators, to whom I would like to give a big thank you, it does add to the atmosphere.
