In short: Runners race
In full: 2nd Luton marathon for me. Bit windy but managed PB so cant complain. The relay helps as you can tag onto them and perhaps aim to pass some which is a boost. Good atmosphere and marshalls were great. All cars stopped for us at every road crossing point. More undulating than hilly and definetly not flat. Great medal but could do with bottles rather than cups - suggestion rather than complaint.

In short: YIPPEEEE
In full: Poor time due to weather , but everything else superb. Loads of water and energy drinks everywhere , fantastic scenery , good atmosphere and great finish. Ended with a 3.52 due to bad cramp but even still best of my 4 marathons to date. Only downside , bit expensive and they definetly should post out your number . Coming up from Bedfordshire made it more difficult to get to expo due to flight times. Definetly do thid one folks !

In short: too hot without water for long distances
In full: Everthing has been said above . I had no water between 9-15 miles just when it seemed at the hottest . Running well up to that point but terrible after . It blew my entire race and ended up doing the first 20 in slowest ever 20 split time . Managed to finish but 30-40 outside realistic target time . They had water problems apparently 2 years ago and havent learnt . This was my first marathon and it was a bad exerience . I will never contemplate doing Blackpool again .
