In short: Shortened course to 11 3/4 miles according to those with Garmins
In full: Disappointing to have the course length reduced. I thought the weather was great for running with the exception of one short very sharp shower but trust the organisers on their decision. Too much on tarmac for me, i reckon nearly the first 4k was on the hard stuff with more stretches during the course. A tough last 3-4k with a suicidal descent into Stavely. That last 3-4k on the full course must be a killer! Hats off to all the Marshalls who were great and in some very remote places, and the organisation was excellent. Pricey for what it is though but i will do it again.

In short: One of the faster off road events, well organised, excellent marshalling and a good course
In full: First 4 miles are very flat and quick with the tough stuff definitely coming in the latter part of the race with one notable climb up through the woods that went on and on and on! Good that nearly the entire course is off road, felt it was one of the quicker trail runs i have done thanks to the relatively flat first few miles, just need to hang on in there for the rest. Good event and would do it again.

In short: Excellent race and atmosphere
In full: Really 18k?? Explains my inability to walk the nexy day! Overall i thought the course was a good one to run, with the exception of the hill early on i actually thought all the "tough" stuff, mud water ect came towards the end of the race or perhaps i was just done in by then! Tadge too much road for me but a fantastic day helped by good weather, organisation and just a really good feel/atmosphere. We travelled up from Northampton for the weekend, any chance of an accommodation list with race info for next year ??

In short: Off road fun
In full: Excellent organisation, with friendly Marshalls. My 3rd time with this race and its as good as ever, having negotiated the first crossing i ended up on all fours in the mud, its the mud that makes it fun, the shoe wash had the coldest water ever and the hills are demanding. Simply a great run.

In short: up and down up and down mud mud mud - fantastic!
In full: Great event, a bit of everything that an off road race should have, but that mud at 8 miles-ish just about finished me off. Great race really well marshalled all friendly with sooooper cakes at the end, baggage reclaim queue was a bit of a test tho! Roll on Termiator and Lumpy Bumpy!
