In short: The best winter road race in S.Wales ? V.friendly, excellent organisation In full: Pont Rodents deserve much credit for organising this fine race year on year. Highly recommended.
Regarding negative comments about the scenery, its not that bad ! Speed also comes at a price - with so much surrounding green, rolling countryside (not to mention the Taff Trail..) am sure the option of making it more photogenic has been considered - how many of those taking part would prefer taking to the hills though ? In short: A great off-road race with a serious altitude problem - top bananna ! In full: Well done Brackla Harriers for organising such a great and unique race - 600 is probably about the limit on the current course though. Can't wait for next year - some training may even be resorted to ! Date of review: December 16, 2007

In short: Crowded start, but things soon pick-up. Much improved In full: A big thanks to Kidney Research and all who organised/supported for laying on a much improved race. You deserve much credit..
Maybe the council could be more helpful though ? There is more to life than shopping and the retail lobby ! Bring back the later start, for those travelling from afar, and the right to roam - the parks are great, but a big city race like this needs big chunky roads...

In short: Tough but very rewarding - a great race, by a great club, with the best cake + tea in town awaiting at the finish. In full: A last minute decision over breakfast for me to enter this (I hate hills !) but so glad I did.
"Challenging" but hugely rewarding. Will be back next year, hopefully with more club mates from Les C (what better way to prepare for the Welsh Castles Relay in 2 weeks time ?)
This is the 30th time this race been run - can only get bigger and bigger for the next 30 years. Congrats Bath RC, you should be very proud. Probably the best marshalled race I've ever done - but more sponge cake next year please !
GE + LS - you done good today !! Date of review: May 26, 2007

In short: Well organised, great athmosphere. A rewarding race over a challenging course In full: Glad I took a last minute decision to do this - I'll be back for more next year. First impression this a much overlooked event which can only go from strength to strength - big thanks to those who organised and supported
The course a little hillier than I'd been told - but doable none the less. Probably the liveliest finish, and certainly the nicest trinket for finishers, I've ever received in 100+ races
Only niggle maybe the traffic - several sections involved some dodgy road sharing with cars, most of the drivers very thoughtful/patient, but some others less so. An earlier start (9.30 or 10.00am ?) might alleviate this and the inevitable risk presented to those taking part. Better still, maybe some tweaking of the course ? Am sure such things have been considered (the race, as said, seems very well organised)
Combining the HM race with both an optional relay event covering the same course and fun runs for younger runners seemed to work really very well - "races within a race" etc.
