In short: Poor, given that the organisers have a lot of experience.
In full: Lap counting still an issue - I had been warned - counted my own laps - though runners I had lapped finished in front of me ?

Momentos - unless you made a point of going inside the buildings and asking - you would not have received your finishers momento - these need to be handed out on the finish line
just like almost every other event ?
Organisers had good intentions - need to improve.
The start is far too late for runnere like myself who have a long (200 miles) to travel home with work the following day.

In short: This is the one marathon that everyone has to do at least once !
In full: Absolutely fantastic day out in the Downs - tough uncompramising route with hills and more hills - but all so friendly - a great challenge with all arround you willing you to finish - what a route - what a day.
I doubt anyone will ever forget the experience
of finishing this terrific marathon.
So well organised - even a swim and a meal at the finish included in the entry fee !

In short: Quite well organised trail event - but so expensive !.
In full: Probably the easiest of the South Downs Marathons, just a pity it was so so expensive.

Nice t/shirt:technical even the correct size.

For me a one off, pleased it was on,pleased I finished, congratulations to the organisers of this additional South Downs marathon.

In short: Glorious gallup - superb event
In full: Must be on of the best organised and friendliest road events in the UK.

What a great day galluping over the roads of Dartmoor.

An event that many people will just keep returning to every year.

In short: Wet - very wet - the marshalls were fantastic
In full: One of the "old fashioned " events that has moved with the times and welcomes all standard of runners - might have been a record turn out this year - pity about the weather ! Previous years we have had the tar melting and sticking to our trainers !

Congratulations on the 50th IOW Marathon - but who designed the t/shirt ?

In short: PB ? Yes - if you were up front
In full: Too crowded for a PB - too many stop start bottlenecks - great crowds - great drinks
- I also noticed a lot of the clocks were way out - one showed 4 hrs 34 mins - but I still finished in under 4 hours...why not urinals for the men on the course - queues were too long to wait ........
