In short: Catch a boat and then run back - what a great idea!
In full: Superb! Fantastic course - scenic, challenging and entertaining; great food at the end; efficient organisation, and even a squirrel should you have wanted one to take home. Thanks to Claire and Graham for another superb effort, and let's hope this can become an annual event.

In short: A fantastic day out!
In full: Yet again a stunning race from Graham and Claire - cracking route, well organised, friendly, and a wonderful atmosphere at the finish. Thanks must go to all who contributed. The inclusion of a 5km Sport trail as well as the childrens' races and Special Olympics made it a really great day out. Not sure about the weather though - such sinshine makes it too easy to be distracted by the glorious views! Thanks again, see you for the next round...

In short: Fantastic! Great course and great organisation
In full: Another well-organised, scenically stunning course from Graham and Claire - thanks guys! Fun day out for all - my mum came along to watch and was well impressed with all of it. The drizzle wasn't able to dampen the fun at all. Roll on Coniston

In short: Wonderful, wonderful Garburn!
In full: This is an amazing course - very scenic and even includes a castle, ok, pele tower. Yes, it's tough but feel that smugness when you've finished. Great organisation as we've come to expect from this series and a good day out for the family with plenty for the spectators to amuse themselves with. Thank you to Graham and Claire. Again.

In short: Fantastic course, great marshalls - heaps of fun!
In full: Who wants to do London when you can have all this? Very well organised, extremely well marshalled by very friendly chaps two of whom called me 'young lady' so bring them back next year!

My first marathon and it was everything I expected - as hard and as painful as I thought it would be, and as uplifting and satisfying as I had hoped.

Well done to Scott and the Brathay team. Can we do it next year, please?

In short: This has got to be one of the most scenic and fun races in the country - for the other contenders see the rest of the series...
In full: Fantastic! A really good day out for everyone, even if you don't have children. Party atmosphere from start to finish and a beautiful, well laid out trail in between. Nice touches such as the skeleton at the start of the coffin trail and the slogan on the finishers' t shirts. It IS a challenging race but that makes it all the more rewarding. Real buzz in the village too and I particularly liked the balloons guiding the way from the village to the arena. Thank you Grham and Claire - you've surpassed yourselves

In full: Very low key race, friendly marshalls, interesting course but with no distance markers, definitely one for trail shoes!

In short: Challenging but good fun
In full: I enjoyed this greatly - the hills are challenging but there are plenty of downs as well. Very friendly marshalls, including those girls on the second water station who were still at it when I came though late on!

Interesting goody bag of a bag and some tea bags! Shame there were no bottles of water left for the later finishers.
