In short: Enjoyable race, well organised, scenic and with PB potential
In full: An enjoyable morning in the park.

Humidity made it more challenging but few demons in the course itself.Attractive park to run through and slightly longer 3rd & 4th lasp broke up tedium of multi-lap format.

Good value for money compared to a couple of large 10K's I've entered recently. A smaller race here but good atmosphere, organisation and T-shirt (with year) at the end.

In short: Great venue for a race but a few gripes
In full: Facilities at the complex are fantastic and a major plus for this event.Route a bit dull but at least the three laps were not identical.Good turnout hundreds more than last year.

On the down side there were bottles of water available en route but cups at the end. Would have appreciated it being the other way round. Not too worried about the lack of medal but there was no date on the T-shirt so no souvenir with '2006' on it. Chip timing a fiasco and could put a few people off if not addressed for next year.

Overall mixed. The Bupa race has taken a few knocks as some perceive the City Of Manchester to be the event for serious runners but without accurate timing that view is hard to justify.
