In short: A quality race on scenic undulating roads with real PB potential
In full: I love this race. There is always a top quality field with some real speed merchants but it is equally accomodating for first-timers and plodders like me.

In short: If you haven't done one of these Lakeland Trails you're missing out big time.
In full: I find these events are so well organised that nothing is missing. They cater for the ultra zoomy international athletes as well as the enthusiastic amateurs. There's plenty to entertain the supporters too and encourage the kids to have a go. This race is really tough - I clocked the climb up to Garburn pass as 300 metres in 2.7km. The heat didn't make it easier either. But the views from the top and the good humour and support from the marshalls make it all worth while. Seriously, you're a numpty if you don't try one of these.

In short: And again, Graham and Claire have put on a stunning event. Thank you.
In full: This is so much more than a Trail Race. It's a fun day out for all the family with a race thrown in for good measure. A fantastic, well marshalled course, great facilities and top entertainment all wrapped up in chocolate box scenery. Looking forward to the next one.

In short: A big hill followed by a long gently meandering downhill with great views
In full: Well organised race with adequate facilities. Good for spectators - fun run, cafe and kids "zoo". I've grown to like this race even thought Buncer Lane grows taller and steeper each time I go up it. I'll be back.

In short: Once again they've delivered a post- Christmas Cracker
In full: OK so it's not very scenic unless you're into muddy fields, but it's flat and fast (except for the railway bridge - I'm starting a petition for a level crossing). There's always a great atmosphere and the marshals, hundreds of them, are so happy.

I love this race.

In short: The third race in the series and they keep getting better. So well organised with the best atmosphere and demanding courses that give a real sense of achievement.
In full: I can't wait to enter all four next year. Congrats to Graham and Claire on creating truly memorable days out. See you next year.

In short: A truly magnificent event on all levels. Most memorable for its friendliness.
In full: This is the second event I've done in the series of four. The first was in searing heat and this was in drenching rain. What shines through is the attitude of the organisers, competitors and marshals. Everyone is happy to be involved and, in a lot of cases, suffering.
I can't wait for the next event. Then I'll sign up for all four next year.

In short: Great views from the heights and a good quality t-shirt
In full: The uphills were tough, the undulations were teasing but I found the downhills to be the worst. The one after the long undulating section below The Roaches scuppered me. I'm right chuffed with my t-shirt:-)))
