In short: All went very well, no problems at all.
In full: Very well organised and excelent support all round. I went easy second half to enjoy myself and had a very pleasant run. The only thing that upset me was being overtaken at 25 miles by a fancy dress tiger! Well done Dave.
Would recommend this to anyone. Stay the weekend - Nottingham is a good place for a break.

In short: A very good race thats to be done for the day out rather than any expectation of a PB.
In full: Dorking has it in for me. Last year the hills surprised me and this year the heat got me Beau Geste style. I keep returning in the hope that one year I will beat Dorking. There's lots of friendly runners, the cakes and coffee at the clubhouse where welcome and the T shirt even suits me.

Please next year can I get a decent time!

In short: Well organised and a nice rural course.
In full: Downside of the lovely course was that encouragement was lacking for long stretches of the course. However I can not find any faults and the volunteers all did an excellent job. It filled up early this year so my advice is apply early.

In short: Nice scenery, great weather, a very good rehersal for the marathon
In full: As ever Bedford puts out the best marshalls I have ever encountered. Encouraging and supportive on a proper running course. Might have been nice for an energy drink at 16 miles (next time I will bring a set of gels).
Liked the orange slices at the end.

In short: A well organised and challenging race.
In full: With two long hills on each 5 mile lap and an equally thigh shuddering descent this is certainly not a PB course. However the scenery is fantastic for us townies and the marshalls and locals who braved the weather where fantastic.

In short: A regular must-do on my yearly itinery.
In full: Cool but windless day meant for good conditions. As ever smooth organisation on a challenging rural course and plenty of support (at the finish).

Only downside is virtially non-existant rural transport. They really should consider running a minibus back to Bedford (am sure a fixed charge would cover costs) I always have nearky 2 hours before the bus arrives.

In short: As ever well organised and continues to improve
In full: Perhaps I am getting fitter or this year the first half seemed flatter than usual. Good organisation, friendly (if sometimes spartan support) and a healthy mix of runners means this is my 7th visit in a row.

The only complaint would be the uninspiring goody bag.

In short: A very friendly fund raiser event. Ease down and enjoy it you wont get a PB
In full: No baggage tent so thanks to the organiser who safely stowed my bag for me. Its a lovely course and a mainly slower field which tackle a quite hilly and often cross country route.

In short: Not many 5 milers out there, good chance to improve my time.
In full: Good mix, tone set by accessible fun run at start and pretty park setting. Lots of local clubs turned out to provide a healthy field.
Very smart blue T shirt at end and free beer.

In short: Rained from four miles till the end, those poor marshals are heroes.
In full: First time doing Bedford race but thouroughly enjoyed it despite missing out on sub 1:30. The crowds where this but well marshalled with better than usual facilities at race HQ.

Well worth making the trip for.
