In short: Well organised, good course and great atmosphere In full: Although its not flat it is a good course on a good surface. The race is well organised and friendly. Date of review: October 25, 2007
In short: This race is something special In full: From build up to wind down this is a must-do. Respect the hill at 17-19 miles and the course will reward you. The atmosphere is great and organisation is spot on. Oh and the views are great. Enjoy the piper in Dores. Date of review: October 10, 2007
In short: Good mostly-flat route, good cause and well organised In full: Nice crowd, ran like clockwork. The route follows flat country lanes round the big houses - there is a *small* hill just before the finish but if anything it is just enough for interest - def a PB course Date of review: August 15, 2007
In short: Hot but well organised and mashalled In full: This, sadly, is a dull course - 4 laps of the park. BUT, it was well organised - the marshalls were everywhere and very encouraging throughout. My kid loved playing on the track and sandpit. The weather was HOT but the harriers laid on a well stocked water station and more at the finish - they did well. I should say - the course may be dull but it is flat. So, all in all,, dull course, well organised and worth doing. Date of review: August 5, 2007
In short: Well organised, good course and family friendly In full: The course has real PB potential and the event is well organised. Running it alonside the school fair and fun run makes for a nice atmosphere. Go along, you will enjoy it. Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: Great race with a nice atmosphere In full: And well done to all the locals for getting involved with the villians and heroes theme. Tough uphill finish but don't let that put you off. Date of review: June 25, 2007
In short: Very well organised, very scenic, very friendly In full: This is a good race and highly reccomended. The weather was awful but everyone braved the rain to make a nice atmosphere. It is a pleasure to run in the park. There is a slight uphill finish but it is a good course and nothing to worry about.
The marshalls were friendly and were working VERY hard to help everyone - thanks guys :-)
One minor point has been raised by others which is that poeple block the course near the finish as the slower runners come in. Maybe next year some tape barriers would be appreciated - but dont let this put you off.
Well done Altrincham! Date of review: June 16, 2007
In short: Warm up on the beach and soak up the atmosphere - then tackle the hill. Great race. In full: Dont be put of by the hill in the early part of this race. Warm up on the beach and admire the view while listening to the PA system pump out chariots of fire. Start well organised, great views all the way round and a superb flat finish along Llandudno prom to a nice crowd and a well organsied finish. The guy on the microphone did a great job of encouraging runners to the end. Highly reccomended race. Date of review: February 12, 2007
