In short: Wonderful Race. Organisation. PB Potential. Goody Bag
In full: Although this perhaps is seen as more of a Charity Event rather than a Road Race I found this race to be wonderful, a real mix of people and with the added incentive of catching human bananas.... a PB was on the Cards and I got mine.
Very Fast Course, Well Supported in a wonderful location. Marshalling and drinks points were spot on, so a massive thank you to those guys.
Definitely be back again next year, Goody Bag was excellent.
Perfect Race. Well Done.

In short: Great Race - Travel was a Nightmare
In full: The race itself was perfect, loved the hill at the 11th mile as it gave way to reveal the sea - that was perect. Support was brilliant. My only problems is the price of the event and also getting back to the car after the finish. Buses to the Start (Haymarket) should be free.

In short: Great Main Race, Some improvments needed in the Fun Run
In full: I completed the 10 Mile event today in a PB, so I am happy, however upon returning to the village hall my wife was very annoyed as there were no marshals watching over the fun run. My son managed to take a wrong turn and was found by a local on a bike. If you are going to do a fun run, make sure there are marshals for the kids too!

In short: Second Year and ill be back for the third
In full: Lovely race again this year and the rain held off. Another PB for me having shaved 4 mins off last years time. Slight change to the finish which was a nice finish on grass. BBQ was a nice touch although the burgers were a bit like cardboard. Tshirt was ok, and the fun run is a great idea for the kids. See you next year

In short: Wonderful. Just Wonderful
In full: Once again Ampthil and Flitwick Flyers have put on a great race here. Weather was spot on to set the scence in this picture postcard location. Marshalls were the best i have ever come across and organisation was as smooth as melted butter. Beautiful scenary, the limit of people once again stopped over crowding. I cannot praise this race enough. Last year it was my first ever race and this year I managed a new PB of 19:34 so im well happy. Absolutely awesome race.

In short: Beautiful Race on a Beautiful Day
In full: Good steady start with some puddles thrown in for good measure, First half of the race is gradually uphill more or less all the way. This warms you up for what has to be the toughest hill on the course (7km). However after that it was downhill all the way to a very welcomming finish, lots of spectators, lots of support, nice BBQ and things for kids to do, My kids took part in the 2k fun run. Slightly dissapointed that only the first 12 people get a goody bag, bit tight of Aro Sports i think! Medal was small but nice. This is without a dount the toughest 10k i have ever done as i am a road racer. Ill be back next year no problem.

In short: Great race, Nice Distance
In full: Lovely race, I liked the distance, Ran very well and came 18th. Not bad for me. Weather was - lets say - refreshing. Water stops andmarshals where in the right places at the right time. Well organised little race

In short: Wonderful Event, Wonderful Day
In full: This was my First Bath Half Marathon and only my Second Half Marathon ever. This was an awesome event. I enjoyed the Runners Village beforehand, the Build up was excellent (no warm up though!?) The Race itself was great, Nice fairly flat course around some really nice areas. The Support was brilliant especially on the last Mile. I recorded a new PB for Half Marathon. The goody bag afterwards was one of the nest i have ever received and the medal is brilliant makes it all worth while. No complaints whatsoever from me. Well Done of a great race.

In short: Worst Race So far
In full: Ok admittedly i have only done about 15 races to date but this is by far the worst.
From the off the toilet facilites were poor,The Store there is ridiculously priced. The Start was crowded and very late announced (seemed to start in the narrowest point in St Albans!). During the race i admit it was well marshalled, water points were good and the course itself great. The finish was a long way from the start which made my spectators miss me finish, and the prize was naff! theres nothing wrong with a nice little medal - but a water bottle!?!?! Sorry to disagree with the general opinion but i have to say what i feel. I wont be seeing you next year.

In short: Lovely race, Hard Work
In full: Course was extremly undulating which made it a good challenge, I finished the year with another personal best. A nice race to end a successful year of running on. Well worth the trip. Refreshments were excellent and well priced.
