In short: Reasonable race
In full: We arrived in good time at 8:40 at the car park, as instructed, to be there in good time to collect numbers. However, as already mentioned, the gates to the car park were locked and were not opened until after 9.00, which was the time we were asked to be collecting our numbers. It was chaos and we felt very sorry for the local residents. There were no marshals present either, so there was no info about what was happening, and we had to find our own way to the start. We also felt very sorry for the poor people handing out the numbers in the pouring rain. Given the limited inside space at the stadium, maybe it would be a good idea to hire a marquee in the future (if costs permit). That way the numbers could be handed out in the dry and there would be additional room for runners to wait in the dry.
The race itself was well organised with chip timing and we’d like to thank the marshals for standing out in the rain but still being cheerful and encouraging. The course is undulating (lots of underpasses!) but not really hilly. Generous provision of T-shirt and medal.

In short: Fantastic race - Loved it
In full: This race is really special. The course couldn't be more scenic; that it is pretty flat as well is a bonus. Organisation was excellent, although more loos are still needed next year. Although it is a pricey race, it is worth every penny. Loved it - will be back again next year, if I can get a place that is!

In short: Nice village event
In full: Enjoyable undulating there and back run. Nice scenery, generous provision of medal AND T-shirt, bottled water at finish. Good refreshments afterwards too. Will need car park attendant next year as some cars got broken into.

In short: Scenic but challenging!
In full: Very scenic race - a mixture of road and trail. Well organised, with encouraging marshals and bottled water at the finish. Some of the pavements were very narrow with nettles either side or sharp drops to the road which made overtaking interesting - if it could be organised, then road closures would make it a better race. Another improvement would be to spray trip hazards such as tree roots and pot holes with that orange paint that lots of other races use. I looked up to see one guy do a somersault and seconds later went flying myself.

In short: Scenic run in grounds of a castle
In full: Am surprised that this run doesn't have at least double the numbers of entrants. Very scenic run in the grounds of a castle. Excellent goody bag, water in bottles rather than cups. Very enjoyable.

In short: Mostly off road, challenging, but scenic.
In full: Enjoyable race, but pretty challenging, what with all the off road sections. That hill in the wood was a toughie! An undulating, hot, off road course is never going to be a fast course, but it was a good morning out. Thanks BSRC.

In short: Friendly, fun race with BBQ and beer afterwards!
In full: Enjoyed today's race very much, it is challenging in places, but a nice mixture of trails and road. The post race BBQ/Pimms/Beer/Cake was most appreciated.

Plenty of water stations and a very family friendly race, with lots of (very fast) kids running.

One suggestion for next time is to move the start out of the cul-de-sac onto the road, in order to give a true 10K distance. This year's race was slightly short, being only 9.84Km by Garmin. We look forward to the next race in 2011.

In short: Flattest course I have ever run
In full: Enjoyed the race today despite the heat. I preferred this year's course to last year's, and it is certainly a PB course, shame I wasn't on form! Well organised, lots of water and sponge stations and a nice medal. I was a bit disappointed that it was cups of water rather than bottles, as there had been bottles last year. Will be back next year.

In short: Lovely scenic route
In full: Enjoyed this race again this year, well organised and the rain stopped just in time! Its a hilly but scenic route with a small entry, and nice cakes and cups of tea at the end. I liked the pink T-shirt, but do wonder what some of the blokes will think!!

In short: Really enjoyed it, thanks HRR.
In full: I had been warned the course was undulating, and on the first lap it did seem undulating, but on the second lap it seemed mountainous!
I really appreciated having my bottles at the water station, that made a real difference. Great organisation, lovely chunky medal, and I made full use of the massage service post race.
