In short: sort out a proper car park !!!!!
In full: arrived late - could not park anywhere - organisers there are already car parking issues in bradford on avon before any race takes place so find a car park field somewhere even if it half a mile away - had to turn round and go home again - a complete waste of time and money as spent all my time driving around wiltshire -
pretty fed up !!

In short: too much tarmac and concrete !
In full: the 10k is not advertised as a fun run so why aren't there any timings and prizes - The Army could easily do this ! Far too much tarmac on the 10k - the 3k was all on grass - we could do with a lap of the polo field! please think about altering the course !

In short: nice small rural off roader in the wiltshire countryside
In full: I made the effort to drive the 39 miles to this race after work this year after meaning to but not doing this race before, and was rewarded with a nice rural 10k that started and finished at a pub. pity the gound underfoot was dry as it would be lots of fun if it was muddy. the couse had to be changed during the race as a large branch fell from a beech tree just before the finish - they do that when the weather has been dry for a long spell - luckily it happened before the runners got there - top marks to the organisers for thinking on their feet to get round the problem. Very pleased to finish 7th in 43 20!! Any chance of getting the pub to put some chips on for next year as I was starving after the race! Will try and bring some other people with me next year!

In short: fast mainly downhill mt race
In full: very cold on the gibbet so very fast (sprint start) surface very knobbly as mud had dried rockhard so i had to watch my footing - rain and mud for next year please. enjoyed the climb after the A34 didnt enjoy the road sections! finished just in time before I hit the wall. probably will do it again if it doesnt clash with the chedworth 10 like it has in most previous years

In short: a famous steep hill!
In full: I have run round these paths (alot!) with my local hash so I knew what was in store. would have been alot more fun if it was wet and muddy hope it is so next year! Good organisation for a small race and excellent cakes. pity the printer went on strike but i was emailed the results. well done!

In short: please rate this race if you did as it won't be in RW's top races where it should be!! This is the toughest off-road race - period!!
In full: Third grizzly in a row but sadly was slower than last year thanks to colds which upset my training, feeling alot less wrecked than in previous years. Would love to do it in under the magic 3 hours. A bit dry and cold this year. I didn't really like the mickey mouse section between 8 and 9.5 miles - we ran 1.5 miles to move about 300 yards! Otherwise a great course - loved the muddy bits esp. through the gateway where the cows had been!

In short: cold windy and lots of road
In full: too much road - would be worth making longer to avoid the very hard concrete tank track in the last third(not fun in trail shoes). even if it went up to 16 miles it would be worth it to run off road outside of the tank range (I believe there is a perimeter path). no major organisational problems a bit of fine tuning will sort it !

In short: mud glorious mud !!
In full: lots more mud than last year plus horizontal torrential rain half way through definately made this the toughest race in hampshire this year. And then there was the turbo x zone - gets a good 8/10 on the 'tough guy' scale. just needs some things to climb over/ under !! . I wasnt as fit as last year so did much slower time. will get other poeple to do it in 2010. great fun
