In short: super event - a running oasis iin a desert of motorway junctions In full: As ever, Purple Patch comes up trumps. Excellent race around the one bit of green within running distance of the M4/M25. Challenging course with a few undulations to get the heart racing. Great way to start Easter Monday. Now, I can go and eat some easter eggs!
In short: Excellently organised race. Challenging with a couple of testing hills which get tougher the second time round! In full: Superbly organised - from car parking through to distribution of tee shirts (a striking green this year!). Course is tougher than you think - especially second time around!Great course for marathon hopefuls - the event is a credit to the organisers. Date of review: January 24, 2010
In short: great day out. Mud, a bit of snow, hills and canal boats! In full: Super event. Tough although the course got easier once it hit the Grand Union canal. Loved the checkpoints (cp three was the best with a choice of jelly babies, sausage rolls and pork pie snd fruit cake!).
Run into Little Venice was something special as were the puddles on the approach to cp two and the mud flows post cp two. This was my first Ultra - and although I can hardly walk now (four hours after the event) it has stirred my passion for such events. Thanks Go Beyond. Superb event. You should be proud of yourselves. Improvements for next year? Maps that don't dissolve in rain!! Date of review: January 16, 2010
