In short: Lovely race!
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed this race. Yes the hills are tough but for me as a Beachy Head Marathon participant last year they are NOTHING! What really made this race was the carnival atmosphere and wonderful crowd support. Thanks for that, it made a real difference, and thanks to the Scouts and Fire Brigade for the water stations. Hot day and you were very welcome. Look forward to next year.

In short: Great race, and a new 10k PB for me!
In full: A lovely sunny day today made for a great race and I set a new PB, taking 1min 4sec of my best time.

Today was the first time I had run my own club's race as I usually marshall, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks to all the marshalls, organisers and to Nice Work for all their hard work.

In short: Great Christmassy Run!
In full: Thanks to all involved in this race. The hill was a toughie (although nothing after doing Beachy Head earlier in the year!) but the course was really pretty and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Santa medal and a pud as prizes were great, and mince pies and wine afterwards - lovely although I was driving so I couldn't have the wine :)
Only one thing, there was a delay at the start of about 20min while the kids race ran where I got very cold. But otherwise a great race, thanks!

In short: Tough but sooo glad I did it!
In full: My first marathon!
Congrats to the organisers, coffee and cake really cheered me up, and thank you to all the smily marshalls!
The terrain was tough - those hills phew!
I took 7hr 40min but I don't care it was slow, but hey it was my first so its a PB! And seeing my brother and nephew at the end shouting and waving was very emotional. Really proud of myself that I completed it, even though I ache all over today and have 2 lovely blisters! :) I am still wearing my medal and my new sweatshirt today.

In short: Brilliant race, and I got a PB!
In full: Thanks to everyone for this race, very well organised, and I got a PB almost 14 minutes improvement on my half time. Lovely encouraging marshalls, particularly the guy who at my request yelled at me all the way up THE HILL - would never have made it without him!

Just one thing...the delayed start was a bit annoying but otherwise it was clockwork.

In short: Excellent race!
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed this race again this year, although the wind and rain made it fairly miserable!!! Thanks to the organisers. This race has particularly cheerful marshalls, even considering the weather they kept smiling and were really encouraging.

In short: Brilliant race thoroughly enjoyed it!
In full: Thanks to all involved, excellent race, I was 58secs of my PB but blame that on the hills! Friendly encouraging marshalls and quite a lot of on course support. Free t-shirt was a real bargain, goody bag was excellent, plenty of toilets, and parking made life much easier. Thanks!

In short: Brilliant race, great organisation, my first Half!
In full: Really enjoyed today (although not so much with the hill at 10miles!!).

The marshalls were efficient and very friendly and encouraging, and really helped me along.

This was my first Half and the course was challenging but I am very proud of my time.

Thanks to everyone involved!!!

In short: Thoroughly enjoyed the race, and took 10mins off my 10k PB!
In full: Thank you to the organisers - I had a great time. Just one point - the finish point was not obvious (I gather you had problems putting up the Finish inflatable arch on the day).

Apart from that excellent race and I will be back next year. Plenty of marshalls, who were lovely and very encouraging.

Great medal, great tshirt, thrilled with my new PB!

xx Alex
