In short: Pleasant rural run, with some undulations In full: A very well organised first time event. The parking areas were quite varied, but not too far to the School facilities (HQ), and then to the race start. Route was pleasant along quiet country roads, with some good local support. It was a nice change to have the option of cups of water, bottled water, and even gels at each of the 3 drinks stations, so thanks for that. Incredibly fast full results available also. All in all, a very good Half, and deserves to be bigger in future, given how well it was organised. Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Great on a clear day In full: First time here. Enjoyed the location, perfect facilities, well marshalled, and a nice mug at the end. The hill caught me out, as did the ferocious 2km downhill sprint afterwards! Looking forward to trying the run again, but the other way around (with the hill at the start). In short: Beautiful Rutland Water In full: Costly mara given the perks, and organisation, but that's soon forgotten once you set off. Gorgeous route around the trails, peninsula and a few villages. I found it very tough due to poor training and on the day injuries, but the fellow runners, atmosphere and views kept me moving. Mile markers just every 3 miles, cadets handing out cups of water every couple of miles, and sporadic but great supporters. Would love to be able to return again, as my wife and I loved our weekend based in Normanton. Date of review: November 6, 2011

In short: Another good Pitchcroft run In full: Have been 6 years on the trot now, so know what to expect, and that is a well organised run, with a good mix of runners. It's not the most glamorous run, but it's flat, not too over-crowded, and you always know exactly how far you have left to go! 3 run pasts for spectators, and ample free parking make this a good local run.

In short: Another top Malvern Half In full: Perfectly organised as I've come to expect. Well supported along the route by the marshalls and supporters. A great run, and I'm already looking forward to 2012! Date of review: May 30, 2011

In short: Non clubby race, through lovely countryside In full: Was a slow time for me (the hill destroyed me), yet was in top quarter of finishers, showing how non clubby, and how very local this race was (most club runners were the organisers own Cotswold AllRunners). Pleasant rural route, with nice start and finish through the town centre, just a shame there weren't more people out to cheer on. Date of review: April 12, 2011

In short: Eastnor in the sunshine! In full: A gorgeous sunny day for a great race, with fantastic views over hills, valleys, wildlife and even that castle. Race was as well organised as ever, with the hills proving just as challenging (one day they'll be easy). Only question is will the glass momento ever change? I've quite a collection of them now! In short: Primarily rural, undulating course. Well organised In full: First time here, and enjoyed the day out. Route covered a 5m section, a 5m loop, then back along the first 5m section. Mixture of running through park, along main roads, country lanes, and country tracks. 4 or 5 fair sized hills, with the last finishing just before 12 miles in, so the last 3 miles was flat with one nice downhill section. Well organised, good marshalling, 3 water stations, results published online the same day, and a good race HQ. Good value race at £10. Thanks to all involved. Date of review: March 21, 2011

In short: Beautiful off-road course In full: My first attempt at this race, so can't compare to how the route used to be. Thought the route was lovely, being primarily on World Heritage footpaths, long views of the Severn Gorge, and 2 bridge crossings (one with loads of cheering spectators). First half down, and second half up route, and the hill at 8 miles caught me out badly, and slowed me later on, but last few miles were thankfully flat. Marshalling was fantastic, and everywhere needed, 4 water stations, instant chip time results printed individually at the finish (a first for me), and a beanie as a momento (again, a first for me)! Would love to return to run again. Date of review: March 13, 2011

In short: Great rural race, with huge PB poential In full: This race was very well orgnised for a first time event, with a good venue for HQ, and a lovely route taking in 13 miles of country lanes, passing through occasional villages. Only slight gripes were delays when parking (but at least I wasn't on the grass) and just 2 water stations (which could have used a 200m warning sign). Otherwise, a top event, and I'll definately be back for next year. Date of review: March 7, 2011
