In short: A hard race but well worth it
In full: It was good. This is my second year of running this race. Last year was wet and muddy. this year was windy.... very windy.
But the organisation is excellent, from the arrows guiding you into the school from the main road, to the running of the race, to getting a cooked breakfast at the end. It's a hard race but well worth the tears that go with it.
Thanks

In short: A water adventure to be had by all
In full: Mental. this is my first real ultra. The start was a wet as could be. I don;t mind a few puddles but almost up to the waist is a bit different. the Weather was to be expected, WET. but the Atmos we without doubt superb. I chatted to complete stangers who got me round the event (love the name on the Number bib). I learned onething on this even, don;t scrimp on the lighting. I did and found that part dificult.

In short: Slightly different route from last year. But a well organised race
In full: I loved it. I was dreading it because I got a tad lost last year. But it was well signed and I got round without any reference to a map. The sweeties on route was top. Jaffa cakes at one stage followed by Bread pudding!!!!! Life just doesn't get any better. On the whole an excellent race.

In short: A killer of a race.. But so worth it
In full: Excellent race.. .Only problem was my legs at the end. Enjoyed every minute. I wasn;t in the "Under 5 hours" gang but still felt very positive all the way though.

I'd do it again at the drop of a hat and the Glass Orniment was excellent. Well done

In short: A New race... Very Tuff and wet
In full: Very well organised. Weather was horrible. So wet but ou can;t control that can you.
The Map and compass was a new one on me. Advice for next year is have a 1:250000 map and if you find someone who is happy to read and who reads well, then stick to them.

In short: Muddy Rain and Cold bits
In full: Lets say.. Take rain that hurts.. Then add a chill that could make a grown man cry, and then add more mud than is humanly possible to deal with... I froze... I fell over so many times I lost count. I was wetter than a fish.. But the event was well organised..The people was a friendly as you like.. And a breakfast that was worth waiting for. I said all the way round that I wouldn't do it again, but as soon as I passed the line... I would of signed up for more of it.
