In short: Great marshalling. Super slick organisation. A great little race.
In full: Great organisation. Supportive marshalls throughout. The course was so-so. I liked the bits in the park (even if it was windy), but the first part of the road section wasn't so great. Lots of kerbs, corners and cars (especially on the first lap when I had to go onto the road at times to get a clear path). Results online the same day. Lovely momento.

In short: Lovely atmosphere. Great marshalls. Great race.
In full: This was the first towpath ten for me and I'll certainly be back hopefully next year. The course was great, although a little bumpy in places on the towpath but the early start ensured that it wasn't too busy with locals walking/blocking the way.

Only a few groups of supporters en-route but that was more than made up for by the excellent marshalls. Every single one of them had a smile on their face and was supporting us on the way round, so thank you.

After getting a banana and a lovely glass momento at the finish I was able to join friends and help cheer on in the rest of the finishers. The atmosphere in the finishing field area was great.

PS. Thanks also to everyone who helps behind the scenes. In my eyes the race ran like clockwork.

In short: Great course, super smooth organisation. Well worth it.
In full: The first couple of Km's were understandably busy, especially through the winding estate near the start. Things soon thinned out a little.

Course markings were absolutely superb and there were marshals everywhere - superb stuff. Provided you were hydrated enough beforehand and had prepared, the lack of water during the race was not a problem.

Scenery was lovely and a downhill to the finish is how every race should finish. Top stuff.

In short: So good, you'll be back for more, week after week after week...
In full: I first ran this in June 2006 and loved it, so much so that I cannot stay away from it (so far I've run every race since mid-September to now!).

Whatever level of runner you are, you're going to be welcomed to this event, and there's always someone to help encourage you run that tiny bit faster.

Its not just a time trial - its a social gathering of runners, who just happen to spend somewhere between 15 and 45 minutes every Saturday morning running, before talking and raiding the local coffee shop for more casual conversation.

If you've never been before, come down and try it. I guarantee you'll be back for more.

If I could have put 6 out of 5 for value I would have. How can something this good and enjoyable be free.

This is one of life's mysteries, and I've been told that if you go every week you'll find the answer.... Come join me and hundreds of others...!

In short: Great marshalling. If only the hills were a little flatter!
In full: This was my first half and I got a time that I am really proud of. Organisation was super smooth (even the car parking was extremely efficient), the start was on time, and everywhere I looked there were marshalls giving us support (as there weren't many others out there) and making sure we didn't stray off course.

The weather gods were on our side this morning - it was crisp and cold, and the wind not too strong (the forecasts earlier in the week looked terrible).

I really enjoyed this and it was worth the 90 minute drive from West London to get there (including the closure on the M1 - doh!). Well done to all involved in running this (and cleaning up afterwards). Well worth the money.

Not that I enter races for the mementos, I would have preferred a medal or similar than the water bottle belt - having said that, it will definitely go to good use.

In short: I loved it, but I'm glad its over! Great race and great organisation...
In full: Was my first 10 miler and it went really well. The course was great (I knew it fairly well as I live locally), so I knew what was around the next corner - another long flat stretch of road/pathway :)

Excellent organisation - I agree that a chip registration over the start line would be great, as it was pretty busy from then for the first couple of miles.

The marshalls were excellent and very supportive, and it was good to see people around the course clapping and giving encouragement to the runners.

Weather was great, if a little windy at times by the riverside.

I'll be back next year, that's for sure.

In short: I cannot praise this more than enough.
In full: I only started running the BPTT back in June of this year but now I'm completely hooked. Its a fantastic start to the weekend.

Runners of every level and ability turn up come rain or shine (well, it never rains for the BPTT) and run a professionally run event for absolutely no charge! Too good to be true - well, that's just how it is.

The course is great with most of it being the path around the park - the only thing that fills me with fear every week is the long hard straight to the finish - just don't look behind you as there will be people coming right up from behind.

The people who organise the event and take part are all a damn fine bunch and really friendly.

So, what are you waiting for....

In short: Tough hills but fantastic views. Great stuff.
In full: The course has lovely views, although the first 4k's or so being uphill is certainly tough. Coming back down on the grass was hard work - it's when you're trying to slow yourself down that's difficult, especially on that terrain....and then, you turn to the right and see another uphill - now that was a nightmare! (am I selling this well?)

All in all excellent stuff, and it was lovely to start and finish in the centre of Arundel with 99% of the spectators in the area. Oh, and orange sqaush at the finish, how civilised :)

I also love the early start of 9:30am, especially with the potential of it being extremely hot at this time of year.

In short: Third time and I love it.
In full: This was my third year doing the 10k and I really enjoyed it, even though the weather was bad. Apart from the rain and wind (especially noticable on the promenade), I managed a personal best. No complaints at all and I'll be back in 2007.
