In short: Mad, Mad, Mad!!!!
In full: Weather: Snow/Sleet/Wind/teeny bit of sunshine
Course: hilly, hilly and very muddy
Total respect and extreme thanks to all those marshalls who stood out there for hours in the biting wind and snow to hand out drinks/sweeties to all us mad runners out there today!

In short: Windy, but overall enjoyed!
In full: Did a PB so quite happy after finishing!
Loop a bit boring but OK, didn't seem to be any more loo's than last year, marshalls great (v. cold day to be stood around for hours!), water could have been more avialable at the finish, but no problems getting out of the carpark.

In short: Won't do it again!
In full: This is my home town, so should be biased, but my sister did this for the first time today, lucozade had run out at each drink station, no jelly babies as they were all over the road, no goody bags left and no lucozade at finish, and some people who finished after her (around the 2hours 45 mark)no MEDALS!(these are the people who really want those medals) I think the organisers have got greedy and let too many runners take part, so course was packed, PB potential out the window if you stick to the correct starting band.

In short: Great for burning away the Xmas calories
In full: Great start to 2008, with the weather helping make the day. Tough course but came back after last year so soon forgotten after getting over the finish line. Gives a sense of achievement!

In short: Great, will be back!!!
In full: My first marathon and wasn't sure if I'd make it all the way round (especially as I kept hearing about "That Hill" at the end)! But that really wasn't an option as the camaraderie amongst the runners/supporters/marshalls was fantastic, I admit I walked a few times but every time someone would ask "are you OK?" The poor marshalls and supporters were soaked but still managed great cheers for everyone at the end. Again would add that the tea/coffe and biscuits at the end were very welcome.
I really feel a sense of achievement just getting round!
