In short: A great day out
In full: My first GNR, my second half-mara, and a 1.50 PB (by 10 minutes). Started in the Orange pen, no great problems with walkers/slow runners - more problems with runners side stepping and running like idiots. Magnificent atmosphere, really got caught up in it all. Easy arrival and escape by Nirvana coaches. considering it's more than just a race, it's expensive but good value.

In short: fantastic - but a bit hilly in the middle.
In full: A great race. A bit damp on the day, nice and flat for the first couple of miles...then a bit hillier, then very hillier, then extremely hillier. Great support at the second water station. Then extremely hillier again. Generally very well organised and a great race.

In short: A good undulating race
In full: Generally all pretty good, with only some minor niggles.
Good points.
My first (and local) half-mara - so I guess it will always be a bit special.
A good crowd of approx 4000 runners with a range of abilities.
Not as hilly as some people say - more undulating, I suppose.
Bad points.
No sports drinks (as advertised) at water stations (unless they had all gone, but I wasn't that far back).
Disappointing goodie bag - nothing to eat in it...
At one stage (along the ringroad), having to run down the pavement as the road wasn't closed.
Dreadful pre-race warm-up banter from some local radio DJ.
