In short: Wonderful run over the Forth Road bridge In full: Decided what better than a long weekend in Edinburgh and a try at the Scottish Kilomathon. Never raced further than a half marathon so something new. Well organised event, definitely not flat with a few interesting climbs as everyone has said, even a couple of the locals found it challenging, but it was a good race, very friendly and enjoyable. Goody bag was great and everything seemed to run smoothly. Shame they have moved it to earlier in the year, I liked the October date and would of done it again, will have to see what in clashes with in April next year. Date of review: October 7, 2010

In short: Great fun in Yorkshire In full: Thought I'd give a bit of off road running a try as I mainly run on roads. What great fun, a challenging course with a mix of all types of surface and scenery plus some punishing sharp climbs. Well marked out and Marshalled, great T shirt. I really enjoyed the whole experience. Thankyou Alice. Date of review: September 5, 2010

In short: A twisty run in the wind around Blackburn In full: Well organised event that unfortunately did not bring out the crowds in Blackburn and some of the route looked a bit rough and definitely not pictureseque. Overall a well organised race with lots of wonderful marshals and a great start and finish in Witton Park. Date of review: July 11, 2010

In short: Hills of Stoke In full: There's a sadistic organised who planned this half putting Milton Road on this course. What a great well supported half marathon. Hats off to the people of Hanley that supported this race all long it's route, Thankyou for the water, Jelly Babies and the showers, they were appreciated. A well organised challenging event. First time I've run it, I will be back. Date of review: June 15, 2010

In short: A lovely day in Leeds In full: Another well organised, well supported race in Yorkshire. Ran Sheffield half 2 weeks ago and both races are brilliant, with those Yorkshire hills thrown in to test you. Great run, great crowd, great goody bag. Thankyou Leeds. Date of review: May 9, 2010

In short: A hot day in Sheffield In full: Apart from the chaos trying to get parked, a bit of police assistance through all the sets of traffic lights would help, the rest was good. Hilly course with loads of wonderful support and a nice stadium finish, felt like a gladiator running around the top of the stadium and even got an oggi oggi in the tunnels. In short: It's windy by the Mersery In full: Enjoyed my half marathon in Liverpool. Nice course around the parks, found the run up the prom a bit of a slog (besides the wind), T shirt and medal great. Comments, more loo's and start on time, a note of what road closures and when would help this but then people shouldn't leave it to the last minute to arrive. Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Well marshalled run along the front at Blackpool In full: Well done on keeping the race on and well done to the brave marshalls who looked after us but pre and post race attention to detail was lacking. The Hilton and Portaloo's were terrible and the girls should of made up the bags while we were racing to ease the congestion at the end. Date of review: February 26, 2010

In short: A Great Charity event In full: but lost the fact it's a race as well. Pen allocation is very poor, so if your a serious/ish runner, you spend the whole race dodging people. Atmosphere is good with the plenty out to support the event. South Shields is a nightmare to get out of. Not the best Great Run event, Manchester 10k far better. Date of review: October 9, 2008
