In short: Good race, good organisation, good marshalls, good goody bag
In full: Enjoyed the race, weather was good for running, the course itself provides a few challenges although in the main its pretty flat. Well organised and friendly club.

In short: Will stay on my race calendar
In full: Although its a 2 lapper which detracts slightly, its a good route through the country. Generally pretty quick though the hill back up to the showground where the race starts and finishes is a challenge, especially the second time at about 12 miles. Well organised and great support on the run from marshalls. Good finish as well where there was a good crowd.

In short: You can't beat this one for the weather
In full: The third time I have run this and the third blast of November weather with it. This year it was snow which for the first couple of miles where the country roads were open was painful. Once the first hill came into play you started to warm up and apart from being a bit more careful on picking whether to use the slush or fresh snow to run on it was a fun race, though I cant imagine anybody PBing on the day. Marshalls on the course were excellent, it must be tougher to stand at a corner than run round it. Perversely I quite enjoyed the whole day and it should make the rest of the winter seem quite tame! Well I hope.

In short: Well marshalled and a definite PB course in the right conditions.
In full: Over 800 finishers so quite a large race and perhaps a bit difficult at the start. It is a very flat course, which means the wind can have an effect in the more open places, and it was a windy day this year. That said I got a PB so guess many others will have done. The facilities overall were adequate for the numbers, lots of marshalls out on the course directing and encouraging. Definitely do this run again, quite enjoyable.

In short: My first 10 mile race for a long time
In full: I used this as part of my FLM training as I live close by. Even had my race number put through the door. Storms had threatened but held off till the town mayor blew the hooter, and then the heavens opened A fantastic storm but hey its November. Good long hill from about start of mile two, then several miles of plateau, downhill before somebody put another hill in at about 8 miles, but then a nice generally downhill finish. Well organised, good stewards especially considering the soaking they got at the start. Hard but enjoyable run, probably have to do it again as the start is only half a mile from me.
