In short: Hard, hard, hard. Great event. In full: Again Dr Rob has put together a great event. Great support around the course with plenty of marshals and water stations. Despite the slippery conditions and shoes full of water twice at the stepping stones, this appeared to add to the occasion. Again the bagpipes were heard at two locations on the course, adding to the atmosphere. I was wondering how he gets to the second location so fast! Has he a twin? Well done Rob and all the marshals/helpers. Date of review: June 18, 2011
In short: Really enjoyed the run. Well done DMVAC In full: Haven't run this race for about 4 years, really enjoyed it and thought DMVAC marshals and organisers were spot on. Well done to all. Date of review: June 5, 2011
In short: Great event as usual from Trionium In full: No wonder this is in the top three half marathons. Great views, great organisation, excellent after event gifts, as well as a creme egg, with a full english breakfast. One or two runners have mentioned the event being expensive, however you have to look at events like the Kilomathon, Run to the Beat etc and realise how much value for money this event is. Taking into consideration road closures and policing costs this beats the bigger events by far for value for money, atmosphere and scenery. Also the bigger events are making monies for profit, the Trionium events do not. Rant finished.. Well done Rob and his marshals/support team. See you at the Munroe :-) Date of review: March 8, 2011
In short: Forgotton how good this race really is In full: Had some much fun today. Unexpected last minute entry and managed to scrape 17th! Great route, muddy hilly fun. Awesome views across London and the North Downs.
In short: Mildly challenging. In full: Overall a nice marathon to run, but would like to have seen a bit of variety at the water stations instead of all water, how about a bit of juice and maybe an optional energy drink occassionally. Marshalls were good and friendly, thank you to all of them. A bit disappointing at the end with just water or orange juice, would like to have seen something to eat or perhaps a recovery drink. In short: Excellent race and organisation In full: Well done Dr Rob and all the helper's, more and more runner's are dressing up and all this adds to the atmosphere. This is a very addictive race as is all of the Trionium races. Certainly sober's you up after the New Year's eve celebration's. Alway's one for the calender. Date of review: January 2, 2009
In short: Knackering but worth it! In full: Every year I say 'never again'. Why I come back and do it again I don't know! Whether it's the friendly atmosphere, scenery, pain, hills or all of them put together makes this race a wonderful opportunity to test yourself to the limit for a half marathon. Dr Rob has improved this race year after year, simply amazing. The marshalls were excellent and encouraging. Well done to you all for making it a great run. Date of review: June 24, 2007
