In short: Great scenery, tough hills and perfect organisation
In full: This was my first half, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent weather for a long run and great scenery made it well worthwhile. The last hill was tougher than it looked on the map though....

In short: Nothing else like it - fantastic
In full: This event is hard, cold and draining - but if you want a challenge to your endurance, whilst having a laugh at yourself, this is the one. Do not underestimate it though, or it will bite back. Train for distance, jumping and climbing and you should be OK. Hypothermia in July anyone? - yes there were a few...

In short: Excellent organisation and an interesting route
In full: Well done to the organisers, everything ran very smoothly. The train back to Liverpool was an excellent idea. I quite enjoyed the City v City stuff - it didn't make me any faster, but it was good to be part of something across the country.

In short: Just when you thought you had finished - there was that one last hill........
In full: Excellent fun and great atmosphere, but hell was a fair description. The Bog Of Doom was great, and the taste was worse than the smell! Well done to the organisers, no lack of course markings and they must have enjoyed planning that one....

In short: Really well organised from start to finish
In full: This was my first ever event, so not much to compare it with. However, found it to be really well organised including the return coach at the end. The run was pretty flat and it was a great experience stopping the traffic to run over the bridge.
