In short: Stunning scenic event In full: Really enjoyed this race. Energy sapping uphill and knee jolting downhill.
Fitz Park was a great location. As for water stations, I found there were plenty of natural ones. Let’s face it, it’s not every race that you get the opportunity to cool down and drink from a fresh mountain stream.
The views from the top were fantastic; in fact the whole course was fantastic.
Great organisation, brilliant atmosphere, especially at the end at the prize giving, with everyone sitting around chilling in the sunshine.
Well done to the organisers and everyone who took part, see you all at Coniston.

In short: Thunder - lightning - very, very frightening! In full: Great race in torrential rain, love running in this type of weather so I may have enjoyed it more than most. Well organised, well marshalled.
The marshals all around the course were absolutely excellent, encouraging and helpful despite the terrible conditions. Most had sensibly dressed for the occasion and were great in pointing out any problem areas on the course due to the weather conditions.
Well done to everyone that took part, great effort by all considering the weather. Mug made a nice memento.

In short: Glorious Hawkshead In full: Great race from the picturesque village of Hawkshead ,tough scenic course , great atmosphere, good organisation (except for the lack of toilets ) nice t shirt , a medal would be nice though, good start and finish location in the field with plenty of things to keep spectators occupied the whole day.
Brilliant event overall and would highly recommend it, but if you are city folk like me you may find it tougher than most if you don’t get the hill work in.
But that said I still enjoyed it, now for the next three in the series, well done to all.
Hope the guy was alright that I helped up who fell face first on the rocks going downhill near the end he smashed his glasses and was badly cut up but still managed to finish at a fair pace -take a bow, son!!

Plenty of friendly Marshalls, nice to see so many young people helping out and being so supportive all along the route.
It’s amazing and great to see how much the organisers put into this event. All runs should be organised as well as this, it really is a gold standard event. Good facilities and refreshments etc laid on for the waiting spectators too.
Lovely course, even though I struggled a bit myself. Enjoyed the spot prize, a good pair of Asics gloves and as soon as my bottle of beer has cleared I will be downing it in one go!
And to top it all excellent value at only £17!!
Well done to everyone involved.
