In short: Too hot
In full: Enjoyed the setting at water park and the slight undulations. Has big PB potential if weather was not so warm. Needed more water stations and maybe second sponge one but thanks to hoseman near end. Good prizes on offer. Won 6th male and team prize.

In short: Can't affect the cold weather but can change start- be nearer HQ
In full: Too far walk from HQ and so few spectators, although marshalls were very supportive. Flatish interesting course with PB potential. Nice cakes at school sports hall and friendly runners.

In short: Great race round city I lived and bretahed for many years
In full: Course was flat with only small inclines- although cobbles at 12 mile mark was not welcome. Marshalling good and interesting course along river. If you want a medal do a full you whingers. Few minuses: need more than 12 portaloos and car park queueing was too long- have 2 or 3 official car parks for next year. All in all will return next year.

In short: A professionally organised big city race
In full: My 1st marathon which will live long in memory. Great first half, nothing too demanding, liked the trip through Woollaton park- scenic and great support, saw no deers though. Then a soul destroying 2nd half- wheels came off at 21- agree about comment of pothole road at 17 mile, not needed when you are tired- and that rowing lake; enough said! And the dogleg at 25-26 mile, what the .. Still loved my medal and plenty of water stations and energy drinks. Family loved the lincolnshire sausages on offer and parking was easy and hassle free.

In short: A well organised race on a hot summers day.
In full: Finish area is special in picturesque market square with all facilities in close proximity. Course is flat but a bit boring, too much around Newark housing estates, but definite PB potential. Beware also that it's run in the height of summer. Good quality T-shirt at end. Would do this half again.

In short: A tough course with brilliant organisation and marshalling.
In full: Proud to be part of the Hermitage club.
Entertainment and T-shirts provided for cheap as chips entry price and a lovely cheeseburger afterwards.
Course sorts the wheat from the chaff and will be tough to PB but come to experience the first 5km- a pure climb. Myself, I love hills and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Well done to organisers Andy, Bob, Paul, John, Caroline and the team. Who'd have thought this was the clubs first organised race.
Only note for next year try to move finish to the field near the start- Greater viewing area.

In short: A superb, well organised race undulating but not killer hilly. Run it
In full: I like the start and finish at the athletics track. A mainly downhill first 5 mile but then constant climb from 6 with a tough hill at 8.5 mile under the bypass, then downhill to finish. Lovely weather and ample water stations. Was on holiday in wales so enjoyed the welsh hospitality.

In short: A flat course that cuts through town and with last mile in park. Weather was kind and organisation faultless.
In full: Like the fact your name is called out at the finish and the finish is on grass; takes me back to running on school playing fields. Plenty of goodies at end courtesy of sponsor DHL including a very bright T shirt. Set sub 30 min PB and came 29th/352. Would run again.

In short: This year was my fourth HBO10k and I have loved everyone. The course is flat and as it's a figure of 8 there is big support at the half way point. Chip timing this year to add to the appeal of an already top notch event. Superb.
