In short: Fantastic race, organisation spot on but I am hurting today!!!
In full: I travelled 2 1/2 hours for this race and it was definitely worth it. The organisation was probably the best I have ever seen at any race, the marshalls on the way round were so positive and encouraging and the water stations were spaced just right (jelly babies much appreciated!). The race was tough and I hadn't appreciated the contours until half way through the first 10k so my initial "taking it easy" pace wasn't so easy after all. I would highly recommend this race to anyone training for a marathon or just for fun - the Stamford Striders seem to be a brilliant, friendly club and know what it takes to make a great race. Well done Striders, I'll be back!

In short: Much tougher than first thought!
In full: I did the Gower race last month and thought this would be easier - I was so wrong. Even still I loved it - it is worth running it fairly relaxed to enjoy the views as it is difficult to race because of the changing terrain and single file tracks in parts. Amazing race (although I wasn't saying that after a couple of miles running on pebbles!) and would definitely do it again.

In short: Fantastic trail race round the valley but challenging too!
In full: This was my favourite event of the past year. The route was great with lots of trails and lovely scenery around the reservoir but the hills were hard work and continued to the very end! Really good atmosphere and fab weather for evening running.
