In short: Good atmosphere - Starting waves were a joke and race too big!
In full: Brilliant weather this year and great scenery and crowds. I was in the green wave and thought this was wrong - spent the whole race weaving in and out and overtaking walkers!! Getting a decent time was out of the question! Excellent for Help the Heroes to pull a land rover but didn't think they should have been in the middle of the wave blocking the course and shouting at everyone to get out the way - there were lots of other important charities being represented and lots of people running in memory of others. Just read that it's £36 next year - prob won't be doing it if is because there are lots of other good races in the area and ones that only have runners and you don't have the issue of overtaking walkers. If you like smaller races then steer clear of this one - brilliant for charity running.

In short: Gorgeous scenery - lovely and sunny (maybe too sunny!!!)
In full: love running in the New Forest - a few sneaky hills but nothing too bad. The late start was a pain and you couldn't hear why!? Someone said it was because of people being late to arrive which is crazy when it's chip timed. Other than that it was really well organised and we'll be back next year.

In short: Gorgeous race through the New Forest - what more could you ask for?
In full: Excellent marshalls who were all smiling and encouraging. Good facilities for runners and spectators. My second time and will definitely be back next year. Like the horse brass too - nice touch!

In short: Inside Daedalus - very dull = seafront - lovely!
In full: Slow start with funnel - not a good idea! Took over a minute to get started and still not up to speed until 1 mile in due to congestion! Airfield loops very boring - we have such lovely scenery on the south coast I felt the organisers missed a tourism opportunity! We regularly run from Hill Head to Stokes Bay and is beautiful on the seafront - maybe this route would encourage people to come back next year! The car parking was a nightmare but we were there at 8am to avoid the rush! I agree with the note about people not getting in their time zones - I was in the 2 hour section (finished 2 hr 6 min) and spent nearly the whole race overtaking people who were clearly too far forward! I suppose that's better than being overtaken though :)

In short: Perfect weather - great marshalling - my first marathon and would recommend to others
In full: Friendly marshalls - thank you to all. My first marathon and loved it (although my kness and hips are disagreeing with that!) - thank you to my guardian angel Clare from Bristol who ran with me from mile 2 - those last few miles were a struggle and you kept me going! Thank you :)

In short: Lovely weather - lovely scenery!
In full: The weather was fantastic - may have been a completely different race if there was a head wind all the way along the seafront!
The hill in the first mile was ok - at least it got it out of the way!?
Nice t-shirt and medal - good for £14 entry.
My only criticism would be that the mile markers seemed to be a bit sporadic! There were maybe too many races put on (half-marathon, 10k, 1k kids, and 5k!) which made it confusing when we came back in as we were finishing the same time as the 5k runners!
Get there early for good parking!
Would do it again!

In short: Pricey - a goody bag/medal or tshirt would have been nice!
In full: Great atmosphere - yes I was one of the ones with fairy wings - would have been good to see more people dressing up and taking it a little less seriously! I nearly got knocked down by someone who was sprinting to the finish - thanks mate! Not sure cross country running is for me but was a good laugh! Happy christmas :)

In short: Excellent race - great weather and organisation. Will def be back in 2008!
In full: Excellent organisation - nice bun & drinks! Got a pb but maybe that's cause it was my first half! Really enjoyed it and will def be back next year. Lovely scenery and couldn't have asked for better weather. The hill at 7 miles took me a bit by surprise and those last 3 miles felt longer!
