In short: Nice run through undulating lanes In full: Nice run through undulating lanes. Using the same water station 4 times on a criss crossing route was nice. Well orgainsed race, start was a bit cramped but after 400m its nice quiet lanes. Date of review: January 24, 2010

In short: Well organised race and quick PB course In full: Probably the best race I've been to for organisation. The course is up for the first 9 miles and the a fast downhill to the finish. Plentiful water stations and legions of encouraging marshalls. The bus from the car park to the start and back again at the finish were well organised. Best for bit for me was the rugby shirt memento which meant no tat in a bag and no medal. Which was a good thing! Date of review: December 13, 2009

In short: Mud, hills, a mug and a great race In full: Couldn't fault the organisation or course. The course had plentiful and encouraging marhsalls and a nice mug as a memento as well. Lots of mud, and sharp but short hills. Definitely a race to be recommended. My daughters even got to enjoy the nearby by playground while dad played in the mud. Excellent. In short: Nice course and smooth organisation In full: Weather was wet with strong winds but thats not the fault of the organisers. From the laid on shuttle buses to the copious amounts of marhsalls this was very well organised. Course was mostly up for the first couple of miles then down hill and then a second lap. Jelly baby from Marshall at mile 11 was well received. Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Good race but very congested at points and problems with entries In full: 3 time out for me for this race and a new course. Felt very congested in places with 3000 odd runners being correlled in only one traffic lane. Not a fan of this new course specially the twists and turns through the park and organisers need to improve getting the numbers out Date of review: May 17, 2009

In short: Nice race, well organised and great marshalls In full: First time for me and I really enjoyed. The course was challenging and the marshalls were plentiful and heaped on the encouragement. Start was bit of a scrumage but can't detract from a well organised race. If they could convince the police to stop the traffic for 10mins then this race would be A1. Date of review: May 10, 2009

In short: Nice undulating race, organisers need to improve In full: Course is great with some challenging (short) hills with fast downhills with a long hill up to the finish. A great course which is let down by the organisation. Prefered the rain to the very hot conditions to last year.
2nd year for me and decided to enter in advance to avoid problems I had last year with them running short of numbers. Got mine well in advance but organisers were not ready for large number of people collecting on day and start had to be delayed for 15mins. Ended up with another t-shirt for the wife as run out of my size.
The race would be excellent if the devised a better way to get the numbers out and ordered some more large t-shirts. Date of review: May 4, 2009

In short: Undulating - Very. Good fun and a nice scenic course In full: This was definitely undulating and the successions of bumps towards the end took its toll. Well organised, well marshalled and now I know the course would definitely do it again. Kids playground near the race hq kept the little un busy which is a bonus. Date of review: April 19, 2009

In short: Fast flat course with terrific support from spectators In full: Probably the best organised run i've been on. Organisation and free parking were fantastic. Spectators around the whole thing were great cheering and clapping. Some even set up unoffical drinks stations and the fruit and jelly baby additions are what got me through this race. Fun fair at the end made this a well worth the long journey and kept my family entertained. Well marshalled. Nothing but praise for this event. Date of review: October 12, 2008

In short: Well organised in a nice setting with things for the kids to do. The hill is only a problem if you let it be one. In full: There was lots of discussions on here about the infamous hill. However while about 1.5km long it is no worse than the Berko half and I didn't find it that challenging in terms of slope. In fact once you hit 5k you now its downhill to the finish so I managed to pick up a good pace afterwards. Organisation was good and with bouncy castles there were enough things to keep my daughter occupied while she waited with mum. Date of review: September 21, 2008
