In short: Another total success for the Purple Patch Team!
In full: So....PB potential? Only for mountain goats as the first 5K seemed to be uphill, but it was worth it for the second half! Some lovely running through leafy trails with hazards (such as roots etc) well marked and the route well marked and marshalled- although somehow at least one person did manage to get lost! At the end I commented "evil but stunning" but to me a road hump is a hill so it was rather a challenge, but a great event and all credit to Purple Patch, they are superb at race planning and organisation and nice goody bag and medal too! Do it next year (but do some hill training first!)

In short: Definately multi-terrain
In full: Shame they didn't include Beale Park entry vouchers in the goody bag like last year.
Otherwise nice and interesting route although I have to admit I am not an evening runner.

In short: Well organised and enjoyable.
In full: I was a bit worried when I saw it was quite a small field for the 10miler, but a lovely route and I really enjoyed it.
Were I to be totally picky- maybe a different coloured ribbon for the different distance races?

In short: Getting busier and busier
In full: Very warm Spring day and lots of casualties towards the end. Seemed even more crowded than last year and the year before, and I will think twice before doing it again. Otherwise it was well organised as ever but I swear the last loop back in and out of GreenPark gets longer every year!!

In short: Scenic and enjoyable
In full: My first 10miler. It was a beautiful run with perfect weather and some stunning scenery- especially the snowdrops along the way. The hills were not as bad as I had anticipated and there was some great company along the way. Thanks to the chaps in the grey shirt and white shirt who paced me along the way; I was delighted with my time!

In short: Wetter and muddier than last year
In full: Some new bits put in which add to the variety. Very crowded this year and some people seemed to walk from the start! After recent rains the water features were more challenging than previously. Top t-shirt as ever.

In short: Best Halloween Party I've been to in a while
In full: Really slick organisation considering we all had to collect shirts, headlights and chips. Great route marking and marshalling, superb atmosphere and just great fun to do something so different. Good to meet some RW friends there too. Lots of people in the spirit of the event costume-wise and I'm glad I made the effort.

In short: Remind me never to be talked into this again!!Great finishers shirt!
In full: I've run the Grim8 before and loved it. This was my first duathlon (and likely my last!) The cycling part was a real challenge for me but I was delighted to finish and not to get any punctures/major injuries. My lack of off-road cycling experience showed up but I enjoyed the second lap more than the first. Not sure what happened to my legs for the second run but a nice cold muddy dip kept sensation to a minimum. Think I'll stick to running in future!!

In short: Great organisation
In full: I had a charity place for this one and Asthma UK were excellent hosts and well worth running for. Nice course, not as crowded as I had feared. Support a bit iffy in places which surprised me, but great in the latter half when you really needed it. Loads for supporters to see and do, a great big event. Would I rush to do it again, probably not, just because of the effort of getting there early and I prefer smaller local races.

In short: Not got any easier!
In full: A beautiful setting, but some challenging hills. Sure I said "never again" last year, but there I was wheezing up those dreaded slopes in the sunshine again. Course PB which was nice. Great cake stall!!
