In short: Varied scenery and well-supported
In full: My fourth time running this well-organised race; just the right size to be both a spectacle and a friendly local event. Not a beautiful course and hemmed in by traffic at several points.Hard work against the headwind this year.

In short: Well-managed event on improved course
In full: The direct approach to the Portway is a huge improvement and the two-wave start worked for me as I was at front of second and straight into race pace. Had a poor race, but that's my fault

In short: Fast out and back with good support
In full: I ran it hard and was pleased to beat my 2009 time by a minute. Faded a bit during kilometres 8-9, but was uplifted by jazz band opposite the Shakespeare. Thanks to all marshalls and spectators. The race is very well organised and, unlike Bath, has the space to do so.

In short: Small-scale, intimate rural challenge
In full: I loved this event. It's a good course with the challenging hill at just the right time after half way, and a glorious finish up the centre of Minchinhampton and past the Crown. Further royal reference from the cheery marshal who said;'keep going to the left. Princess Anne lives on the right!' (We were passing Gatcombe Park.) Lucky folks who can train amongst these rural delights

In short: A privilege to take part
In full: Well done, organisers! You are lucky to ahve such a spacious venue amidst a network of super trails, but you took full and efficient advantage to present a memorable race. I train on such surfaces and gradients mostly, so was well prepared and met the challenge to my satisfaction.

In short: Top race in all aspects
In full: From warm and spacious HQ in college to the 'challenge' on the muddy hill, and back to the drama of the marina causeway and the run in up the beach this is a race to savour and return to every year. Thanks to all, especially the marshalls.

In short: Mud, wind and more mud'; a great stamina test
In full: My first RR; an interesting and testing course; fields and enclosed lanes and then the great sweep of the Severn and the great bridges in the distance;cheerfully marshalled from arrival car park to last plunge into the stream. A fine and efficeiently-managed race. Many thanks.

In short: Bleak and tough in snowy conditions
In full: Apparently it wasn't the 14 miles as advertised so my time is not so good after all! I had done a lot of hill work so found the course challenging but manageable; lost sense of distance travelled as concentrating on not falling over. Well done the organisers! It's a special experience.

In short: Fast course with undulations, and dour industrial estate
In full: This a well-judged race in its planning, course and organisation; has a friendly local feel, and is well-supported along the route. Great that it can happily accommodate elites,an eighty year-old and several first-timers.

In short: Third entry and best time so far; getting older, getting faster; can't be right.
In full: This is my 'home fixture' as I can train on the course from my front door. During the first mile there is a really silly moment when we all cram down a back alley (Charles Place: sorry, residents)before approaching the flyovers. You get good race rhythm on the Portway before it all goes silly again with cobbles, town squares, surges and dips. Great, though, and a model of organisation in a city with lots of good spaces.Bath, please note.
