In short: Three laps even pace In full: I enjoyed this one and the three laps helped with the pace. A few scary moments on the road mainly from enthusiastic horn blowing supporters that frightened the life out of me. Organisation was good with no problems, got passed at about 16 miles by a greyhound who obviously won the race Overall fun event

In short: ache like mad but well happy In full: 1st time i have done more than one marathon at a time, suprised myself so much. The whole event was a great experience and well run. met some really good people and all had a fun time. can not fault the event for friendliness. would like to have taken the medal home but that was not a problem because it was explained about the late delivery. all in all ache like mad but well worth it. In short: wrecked by the farmers field In full: This was hard for me the eevnt was good fun but i found the farmers fields the worst bit, long open areas that were rough on the foot but at the same time scienic. the signs were good but almost got lost with the red string in the woods, not good if your colour blind. some of the roads needed marshals and i got on the wrong end of a car horn ( thanks for the comments from the other runners to the car driver- i cant print what they said). Not my first choice for an off road event but will probably be back. All in all fantastic event for charity and a very good cause well done to the organisers good job Date of review: August 16, 2011

In short: hard first half but easy second half In full: Never done this one before and found the first half hard and the second half easy. The organisation was fantastic but the down side was the finish was a mile from the start and no directions back. Overall was a good race. Date of review: May 3, 2011

In short: The organisation was fantastic, I had a fun. In full: i didnt get my best time but this is one i will do again, organisation was fantastic, the race village was good, car parking was 1st class. my only negative comment is that the marathon runners should have gone off about an hour before, the first 3 miles was a bit tight and i couldnt get into my pace. everything else was realy good highly recomended Date of review: September 13, 2010

In short: Hot Hot Hot, need more busses In full: Organisation was fine, usual toilet que but hey you have got to expect that. liked the start with a gap to the next block of runners so you didnt get bulked, realy good. The organisation was fine but they could not do anything with the heat, the only crisism was the way the busses were not very well sign posted and took me almost two hours to get back into the city, maybe the finish should be in the city. overall my time was not what i wanted but i will return Date of review: May 24, 2010

In short: Lonely race could do with headphones for company In full: Seemed a lot of opposition with the rule no headphones or you will be disqualified, and some were. The course had many marshals and they were needed but could have done with some near the end by the bridge where the cars were attacking the runners, I am surprised no one was injured. I fully understand the reasons for safety but this was not made that adequately clear and the start brief was a complete waste of time because you couldn’t hear anything. No one new where the start was I even passed it and didn’t see it, maybe that’s why people complained hence my comment lonely race could do with headphones for company Date of review: December 1, 2008
