In short: Flat course along the river with fantastic scenery and the nicest marshalls ever
In full: I didnt get much sleep on Saturday night so that might have been a contributing factor but I found the course pretty tough compared to recent, much hillier, half marathons I have done. It was flat but sticky underfoot. Great views, glorious weather and lively atmosphere.

In short: Fantastic course, brilliant weather, great marshalling. A surprisingly fast but hilly course
In full: This race is so much better organised than it was five years ago. Well done the organisers and the marshals.
I did Watford Half with no ill effects a couple of weeks ago. I did Berkhamsted in the same time but this morning my quads and glutes were still burning. This is a pretty fast course with plenty of down hill but you certainly pay on the ups. Fantastic.

In short: I love this course, several steep hills first half but extended downhills in second. Only race I get a negative split on.

In short: New course has lots of up and down. No chance of a PB for me but far more interesting than the old course.
In full: Loads of friendly marshals braving the cold to shout encouragement. Start was a bit cramped for the number of runners. Perhaps we should run round the estate or something first to try and distribute the people before heading up the hill.

In short: Bit hillier than I was expecting
In full: Very well organised. The marshals were fantastic, numerous and very supportive. It would have been nice to have somewhere warm and dry to recover at the end. I liked the early split from the half marathon. Very nicely done.

In short: Hot and hilly again but excellent course and organisation made for a great run
In full: This is an excellent event for the whole family. There is so much for the kids to do from races to climbing walls and activity areas.
The course is very well thought out, quite challenging in the heat but the vast number of water stations helped.

In short: The course is something special, running with rhinos is something to be treasured
In full: Great event and the cooler weather made it better than usual. Felt sorry for the ladies running baggage collection, they were a bit overwhelmed.

In short: Great course which even the weather couldn't spoil
In full: I had a great run on this course today. The route is nice and varied and with plenty of up and down but nothing too steep. In previous years I have held back and saved something in reserve because of the hills. This year I just went for it and enjoyed it all the more.
Only minor (really minor) complaint was the delay to the start because of the number of competitors who left it too late to emerge from the shelter of the school to get to the start in time. Plenty of people (including me) were there at the right time getting wet and cold, then we had to wait even longer...
