In short: A great day out.
In full: What a superb race. Scenic, well organised, great route, excellent marshalls and brekkie to finish.I liked the start too. Just turn up get changed and go. Ticks all my boxes.
If I were to be hyper critical a slurp of sports drink at a couple of the drink stations would be nice.
See you next year.

In short: Mud, mud and more mud
In full: Well that was fun wasn't it. I really enjoyed this race even tho it lashed with rain for the first hour. At first we tried to tip toe round the mud but after a few miles we realized the only way was to go right thru it and it was deep thick mud.
The course was good despite the mud the views were to die for. Didn't really enjoy the big hill at 20 miles. 2 miles to get to the top then 3 miles back down into a head wind. Soul destroying.
It was well organised and the water stations plentiful.
There were a few people complaining and dropping out due to the conditions but what did they expect it hasn't stopped raining for a month!
Also at the top of the hill at mile 22 you had to go to the end of the field and double back but 6 guys behind me just cut straight across the field. I know it's bitchin but why do that it's blatant cheatin.
Any way apart from that I loved it and would recommend it to anyone but it is bloddy hard.

In short: pb :)
In full: This is my local race so I will always run it. Don't really enjoy running along the A20 terrible path and cambered road. After that up through Hollingbourne and along the downs is a cracking run. Enjoyed getting pb but had to work bloody hard for it. Well done Harriers another well organised race.

In short: A race of four quarters
In full: Had a great day today this is a lovely race. Very scenic, A perfect setting for a sunday run.
The first quarter with wind behind takes you along the coast with fantastic views and mild undulations. Then turn back and soon the breeze hits your face and gets stronger. Have trouble keeping to game plan as half marathoners step up the pace. Then at half way they peel off and things get lonely as you carry on along the sea front. Third quarter is definitely the toughest dead flat but wind gets stronger still. Also at about 18 miles there is a terrible sewage smell for about a mile. Find yourself praying for the turn. Turn is at about 20 miles and very welcome. Pass a few people then find myself alone for the last 5 mile very strange.
Overall very well organised and marshalls were great. My only gripe would be that I was a bit dehydrated by the end. The water stations with cups left me wanting more a bottle at every staion would be nice or even larger cups. Gels were a nice touch tho.
Would do it again if there wasn't so many other marathons on my to do list. PB as well :)

In short: Ok run this one
In full: Found this race to be just ok. I enjoyed the countryside and hills and also nice to finish on the track. I didn't really enjoy the long run along the main road around Green st nore did I enjoy the cambers on most of the roads and paths played havoc with my knee. My wife really enjoyed all the other things going on kept the kids quite while I ran and on the back of that I may do it again.

In short: As good as it gets.
In full: I loved this race. This is one of my all time favorite runs. Lovely scenery, great trails and a good tough finish. It was really well organised and marshalled. Water sponges, cakes and a nice goodie bag were all nice touches. Can't wait till next year.

In short: Pleasant race but I'm a sucker for a coastal run.
In full: Hmm. What to say? I thought it was ok. Not great not bad. Not very scenic but nice to run along the shore. Enjoyed the hill but was very suprised so many people walked it after just 2 1/2 miles. Didn't really enjoy the latter stages through the estate and harbour too many road crossings and tight turns. Very well marshalled and and water stations well organised. Jelly baby hand outs was a nice touch. Glad I had a drink with me because the water had a really strange chemical taste to it. I couldn't drink it at all. Overall it was ok can't say more than that really.

In short: Enjoyable race with good atmosphere.
In full: Good race and a PB. Well organised. Water stations well placed and a very friendly atmosphere. Only gripe is the route along the main A20 is abit tight and the paths were of a poor standard which made you run in the road. Scary dodging the traffic. Apart from that it was a nice route and the undulations made it a good challenge.

In short: Great route. Very beginner friendly.
In full: What a great day. Weather was lovely perhaps a bit too warm but I like it like that. The sea was like a mill pond not a breath of wind. Start was a tad disorganized only because a few people didn't know what way they were heading off. Also glad i didn't need the toilet as there were only five at the start. That aside the marshals were excellent and out in force with plenty of encouragement and a nice goody bag at the end. All in all I had a brilliant race and even saved some energy for the hill where I passed many others. For me the problem was going down don't like downhills. Super day looking forward to next year.
