In short: What a joke! Planned a weekend of my life around this race.
In full: Were do i start? The race director tried lying his way out of trouble passing the buck to a marshall who he claimed sent us the wrong way (TWICE???) But the km markers were all over the place anyway withthe first at way past 1km & the last over a km from the end. The whoe thing a farce with people thinking they had smashed their pb's!

In short: Lots of muddy fields,Hills & Getting Lost! A tough adventure!
In full: Some lovely touches tea/coffee/toast before the race & plenty of food at checkpoints & after, I know that some of the markings for us to folow were either moved or removed but there were also older markings of the same type on the course & marshalls at times could ve been positioned better but all in all for a first go a big well done to the organisers & a bi thank you.

In short: Great Race, Great Organisation, Tough First 4 Miles.
In full: Really enjoyable day, Thanks all who organised, Tough first 4 miles but none of the hills are that long so not quite as hard as i had feared and you can really catch some time up between miles 4-9 if you can keep something in the tank!

In short: Dont like saying it but didnt like it, didnt enjoy it!
In full: Admittedly i started near the back but 5 times i had to stop in the first 2 miles to queue to get through kissing gates/styles etc couldnt get into any rhythm at all, Also i wouldnt recommend this race for anyone who has had knee or ankle ligament damage or broken ankles as i ve never known a race with so much uneven ground many of it on steep downhills or narrow paths with overhanging bushes. Really think this race just wasnt for me but not quite as difficult as i had been led to believe, just plain awkward & uncomfortable!
